It so happens LLS team played the same team, Avenida, this past Saturday in a regular season game/Liga Femina Women, Round 27. They won that game too. The Spanish League is a 30 game season. The Copa Reina is a late season tournament where the teams are chosen by their record half way through the Spanish League season, after round 15. Many of the Spanish fans think the Copa de la Reina is the most important trophy.
There are Spanish league playoffs that start the week after the regular season ends. Top 8 of the 16 team league make the playoffs. Bottom two teams, of the regular season standings, are relagated down to a lower league.
