Finally, Lou gets some recognition in a bit of a "mea culpa" list from Charlie Creme. I'm glad he is willing to say the preseason rankings were way wrong. And this seems like a pretty good list, though a few question marks remain, like why Diamond Battles is ranked in the middle rather than the bottom, even as Creme touts her 39% on FGs, or why Kadi Sissoko and Sara Scalia aren't much higher. Or -- and this is a thing with me -- why Saylor isn't mentioned at all.

In the end, however, I'm just glad Lou's name is up in lights!

What was his choice? This what happens when you forecast using media hyperbole instead of research and watching games.

In fairness, how many people on the Boneyard had identified Lou as a coveted transfer before her commitment to UConn was announced?

Miss you Lou. Believe you are one of our Egyptian recruit's UConn favs.
While the Huskies are stacked with talent next year, Geno has proven that UConn is a great place for transfers to go and improve their careers. Suspect we will see some strong talent join up over the next few years.
Maybe not if they see who they have to beat out for playing time. Maybe we could use a 5 next year if really good, but that is about it, especially if is a player with one year left. But maybe they think if UConn has its normal 7 injured players all kinds of playing time opens up. Hmmmm, have I picked up a negative outlook? My second grade teacher would jump on this, too many uses of "maybe" and "but". Middle school teacher would just give it an F.

Well the boneyard transfer wishes were Lou and Abby Meyers. So doing better than Creme.
Really? How many people said this before her transfer was announced?

I just remember that when it was announced I knew who she was from a thread on who in the portal who would be a good fit. Meyers was the other name I remember. Makes sense because they’re both grad transfers and backcourt players.

I remember that thread well but I don't remember at all López-Sénéchal's name mentioned there. Maybe one person mentioned it out of a couple hundred posts and it slipped my attention?

But let's be honest, the vast majority were barely if at all aware of her before the announcement.

Thank you! How fun to see this prescient old thread.

As usual, @MilfordHusky is our sage and seer on all things recruiting.
