We got a ;) in another thread about Javonte Brown Ferguson today in another thread

i think you meant "we got a ;) in another thread about Javonte Brown Ferguson today in another thread we got a ;)"

so nice you gotta say it twice

.-.
If we are able to land Javonte Brown Ferguson we will have beaten out Kansas for good recruit (although he wasn't choice A for them) and beaten Cuse for their top prospect in this class. That's a pretty big flex for Hurley and UConn hoops heading into NBE Season 1.

Then again, if we lose Javonte Brown Ferguson to A&M UConn is doooooomed and the sky is falling.

Is it true that Chief retired over the weekend?
If so - sounds like he took a page from Husky_Fan_Dan's book, by resigning before getting fired.

He's a nice get, but we didn't exactly beat Kansas if they didn't really want him.

Chief, ready to add another letter?

he posted "CONFIRM" in the now locked "all quiet on Javonte Brown Ferguson" thread. that shoulda been that since it started off as "C_nf_rm" as opposed to C_nf_rm_ _

I never really cared about who we beat (except for 'cuse because their meltdowns are so entertaining) for a kid. I just want to get the right kid for us. Javonte Brown Ferguson is the right guy at the right time for us. A year as back up to Carlton and then he's our guy. I'm psyched if true.

Wonder if staff is double checking his re-class academics following this Richie Springs situation.

Who said they didn’t want him? They explicitly told him that if they didn’t land their top 3 targets that they would love to have him.

That's pretty much not wanting a guy. If they wanted him and made him priority#1, they would have gotten him.

You could have a list of 20 guys you technically 'want', but that doesn't mean anything in this context.

having said that, if Isaiah jackson goes to bama, cliff is still gonna end up at UK even though he was no better than their 3rd or 4th choice to begin with

I know, I was being sarcastic. Thought that was obvious Head bang

Exactly. Which means you aren't beating out UK/KU for the kid. UK/KU simply decide whether to take him or not. You effectively get the scraps.

I would love the scraps in this particular case.
