Logo: Is this a new UConn interlocking logo?

From the Courant's Wednesday gridiron reporting page, is this a new UConn logo? As it's gridiron signing day, yes, the picture and question were intentionally entered here on this site.

Nah - looks like those hands belong to a chick hoops player, no?

That logo was used before. It was definitely on some of the hoop championship stuff from '11.

(It's pretty ugly.)

Ugly? The hat, hands, both? Glad I didn't look closely at the hands, but, yes, the hat's fugly.
