Mrs. Murphy's Donuts is still on College Highway, and it's still the local hangout, even though there is now a Dunkin' Donuts practically across the street, which wasn't there when Rebecca Lobo was in high school.

Mrs Murphy's is a great place not just because their donuts are so good but because the "locals" go there every day or on their schedule to pass time. You can see the retired regulars having their coffee and donuts sharing old stories, new politics etc etc, it's legacy and not all towns have this. My customers love their treats so stop there a lot and the same groups smile and say hi to almost everyone.

My wife's is from Southwick, went to school with her brother Jason. Live on town over but venture to Southwick for Murphy's, Village Pizza is the same only for lunch and dinner and of course a couple nice golf courses in town too. As meyers said a nice quaint little "piece of CT" if they drew a straight line back then LOL
