I'm glad that the summertime does afford topics to go a tad astray. Things we like...things we don't like.
Maybe coming up...things we are indifferent about? Then again...posting about our indifferences is a bit oxymoronic.

First day: fog delay has a few with incomplete rounds...nice leader board with Koepka/Rahm on the first page.
Mickelson a poor start....75...and complaints about cell phone pictures. No...nothing about not doing well because of the ball.

And, two UConn golfers playing in the Open: Jimmy Hervol and Zach Zaback.

UConn players:

Zach came darn close to the cut...he shot 75-72...5 over par....4 over made the cut.
Jimmy...charitably...wasn't near that close.

Had to be a great experience for both....hopefully more to come. Don't know if they are still amateurs or pros.

After 36 holes it is bunched at the top...interesting leaderboard....5 under leads.

Mickelson recovered nicely 75-69...2 over.
Get good odds and a wager on young [coming]star Matthew Wolff might be smart....70-67...just one back.
