Adams
Purvis
Hamilton
Miller
Brimah

Bench rotation:
Gibbs
Omar
Enoch
Facey

If Gibbs starts again, I'll be convinced Ollie is sticking to some promise he made to him when he signed on. Gibbs has started every game, when he has been a huge reason for multiple losses. He adds nothing except shooting, so bring him off the bench for a spark. This change should have been made weeks ago. Purvis started the season as our best player, and has not been the same since coming off the bench.

Purvis isn't our best player nor has he ever been our best player nor could he ever be our best player. He is a streaky offensive specialist who can pull Stanley-esque disappearing acts.
Not convinced about what his role should be, but for my two cents, I'd have him coming off the bench and playing 20 minutes a game.

When he was averaging almost 16 ppg in the first 2 months, yeah he was our best player.

Start the game with Purvis should help the defense. I like this idea.

I still think Nolan brings something to the table and don't want him phased out completely.

Scoring the most does not make you the best player, that is a terrible way to view performance, unless you think guys like Carmelo and Harden are better than Lebron.

With that being said, I do not disagree with starting Purvis, but it is March, at this point they should have their lineup cemented.

Like it or not our best defensive stopper and can guard different positions like 1,2,3 if necessary. At times, even when he's not making shots he's still impacting on the other end.

Yep, probably our best all around player, maybe not best overall. If he's locked in offensively, then he looks like the best player.

Exactly and the problem with that is we have a few guys that can play a great game on both ends and look like the best player, but it rarely happens.

I don't think that should be the starting lineup (no sense in alienating Gibbs at this point in the season), but I've been surprised at how little we've seen that lineup given how successful it's been in spurts. Especially yesterday, I don't remember seeing it much which was strange seeing how we were getting torched defensively.

I know it may be necessary steps but we are talking lineup changes in March. Its not a good sign and far from what many of us expected to be talking about right before Tourney, especially with no present injuries.

This team is baffling, frustrating and unpredictable. Maybe they should adopt/embrace that identity (since I don't think they have one) and just roll the dice in March using it, without lineup changes.

I like that starting five also. I lile Purvis as a starter, I think Jalen can help get him going. It also gives us a guard off the bench (Gibbs) who can come in for either position.

Who starts between the two is such a moot point at this juncture - they both need to start contributing on a more consistent basis.

We were playing well offensively in the beginning of the year when Gibbs and Purvis were on their games - we can't have them both be non factors for us.

And here's a thought, when your jumper isn't falling start driving more. I know you will probably miss it and not draw a foul but it's better than to keep hoisting up bricks

Line-up should be settled by now but it isn't. Only option is to change it.

I say try Gibbs off the bench for a game and see how it goes. We've fone it with Rodney, hasn't really helped. Rodney was our best scorer earlier in the year, bring him back, we need his intensity off the bat in the SMU game

If Gibbs is concerned more about starting than what's best for the team in biggest game since SMU eliminated us last year that's pretty sad.

Gibbs would you rather start or help us try to beat SMU off the bench....do you want the final game of your college career in the NIT?

I really don't care who starts or who comes off the bench
It doesn't seem to make a difference
All I want is an all out effort by all players who play and then maybe UConn may resemble a basketball team that knows what it is doing and on a mission.
I am so tired of these games where it appears that 1 or 2 guys give an effort while the rest go through the motion.
I have tried my hardest as an ardent fan to be patient but it is wearing thin - just like the Drummond year.

The fact that we are still tinkering with new lineups at this point in the season is a joke. Tomorrow is March. Hasn't the coaching staff had enough time to figure this out by now?
Not this coaching staff.

Ditto. I want Nolan on the court early and often in the first half taking the quick fouls that UConn always seems to get in order to preserve Miller and Brimah for the second half. If UConn can get off the court down by less than 10 with Miller and Brimah having no more than 1 foul each, I would be happy.

Agreed on Purvis. And while Adams has some good moments defensively, he gets caught out of position a lot. Hopefully experience will cure that. It seems to me that with freshman, fans only see the positive and with seniors they only see the negative.

I agree, Nolan needs to be out there. But if AB is playing Kennedy as great as he was last time, he needs to play as much as possible

Adams can't be throwing the ball away, if he does anything he has to take care of the ball so we at least get shots off. Knock off the passes to the fans in the front row. When the ball goes into Brimah we can't have 4 players standing around the perimeter watching him while he figures out what he is going to do with the ball. This happened against Houston. Someone has to move inside to be a scoring/rebounding threat. Really on that play someone could have walked around and served popcorn to the guys on the perimeter. Spectators. Hamilton passing up 4 footers to pass out to Purvis for brick threes has to stop. Bring Gibbs off the bench, it's time.

I still say I wanna see this starting lineup:

Adams
Purvis
Omar
Shonn
Brimah

If we start to look weak on rebounds bring in Hamilton. I honestly feel this starting 5 can make a difference.
