A nice scrappy play.

Nice work by the fellas down the stretch, where the defense was much better and the shot selection was much better. If they do those two things, the end product will be a heck of a lot better...

He seems like he can be a somewhat good shooter, he needs to look for his shot more.

He had two decent looks from 3 and missed badly. Not saying he shouldn't shoot them but the results weren't there tonight.
Yeah i missed most of the 2nd half because I had some work to do so I didn’t see those, but I guess my point is we need him to at least shoot sometimes, because when he’s on the court it often times has been with Onuorah and having only 3 options isn’t enough. I’ve seen him pass up a lot of shots, maybe he isn’t confident yet.

And we have yet another futile attempt to point out something positive in any thread, which again gets hijacked by the nattering nabobs of nutmeg state negativism.

Our very own "resist resist resist" movement, Boneyard style

Polley has really good defensive instincts. He consistently makes plays on that end of the court when he's out there.

We look bad, but absolutely no harm done yet. Oregon on the road is a good win, losing to MSU neutral is OK, losing to Arkansas neutral will not look awful at the end of the year. Still plenty of time to get it together.

Lots of very likeable players on the team. Polley is certainly one of them. This collection of talent could be a lot of fun to watch if the coaching situation was better. There is far too much talent on this roster to struggle against Columbia. I am willing to bet that we have at least 5 players who on paper were more highly ranked than their top player. Yet the game still went to overtime. Mind boggling.

If we're giving out Oscar's then the effort play of the game actually goes to that Columbia kid who ran then flew through the air for a rebound through 4 of our players, was never touched and tumbled to the floor.

He was rewarded with a foul being called on UConn. Sure he acted, and the Refs farked up, but I haven’t seen a blatant 'hustle/effort foul' like that in years.

The score was close (and it was a critical blunder) but I wasn't even upset. Was the only time I actually smiled during the game.

Losing to Arkansas will not look awful. Not on its own. The deficit will, and will be remembered.

We praise a kid for diving after a loose ball? Aren't they supposed to do that? Please....let's stop this nonsense. They should hustle all the time. Most of us on this board played or coached so we know whomever doesn't hustle should be sitting their butt down on the bench but Mr. 10 toes in doesn't hold anyone accountable.

A big thank you to Polley, CV, Anderson, and Diarra. They tried. They cared.

Polley deserves a shout out for his excellent energy effort diving for the loose ball in the 2nd half as we were making our comeback. Love to see that kind of play!
That swat at the end of the game was awesome too, and it was kept in bounds as a bonus.
