Yeah you’re right. Now that I have spent time rooting for UConn I just can’t go back on my decision to start rooting for them. It may not have been the best way to be a fan initially, but I need to stick with it now. Thanks for the reply.I have never understood these types of fans who CHOOSE to be fans of teams. That is not how I became a fan of any of the teams I root for. I have been BORN into my Fandom. I have always rooted for UConn, the Red Sox, the NY Giants and the Celtics cause my Dad rooted for those teams. Growing up in Fairfield in the 60s, when all my friends were Yankee fans, and the Sox sucked and the Yankees were great, I tried many times to not be a Sox fan! But for me, that's not how it works. I am stuck with my fandom for life. I cannot relate to folks who switch their allegiances like I change my shoes.
Yeah that was pretty dumb of me. But read my more recent messages.I’m taking my posting and liking talents to Ohio State‘s message boards? Not sure this kind of “news“ requires announcing.
I will take the portal Kemba created and absolutely obliterate youFirst the multiverse guy and now this
Do you like Ohio st messagesI realized that but initially that’s why I did it.
Casual fan you are. Many parents have had 2 children playing for different schools, rooting for both.Still like the huskies but I can’t justify rooting for two schools as my top teams.
“Gap Post. No basketball. No football. Probably not a baseball fan ………”First the multiverse guy and now this
I ain’t leaving. You can like steak, and crab cakes, annd even lobster too. Sorry to see you go, but could you at least pop in here everyday and Like all of my posts.?![]()
Well congratulations. My Dad couldn’t care less about sports and I grew up in the 90s in a state split between two cities sports teams. Guess I should have just not watched sports. Or like many kids who grew up in the 90s I became a huge Yankees fan and a casual Cowboys fan. I’m not a big football fan now anyways but I won’t apologize for being a “front runner” as a 6 year old. Why do you think there are so many grown Cowboys fans all over the country? It’s not because they all moved from Dallas. How people choose the things they like or support isn’t really anyone else’s business to judge.I have never understood these types of fans who CHOOSE to be fans of teams. I’m glad you’re staying. Hopefully the success continues and you can solidify your attachment to the program.I ain’t leaving.

I'm a born and bred Buckeye as well. I have total loyalty to the Buckeye Football team, but after 9 years in CT, specifically 1988-97 and witnessing the dream season I'm all in with Husky basketball.Just wanted to let you guys know that I’m probably not going to be liking as many messages in the future. I know this sounds like something bad is going on, but it’s not that. Basically, I have been an Ohio state football fan for a while now and kind of felt bad that I chose two different schools. I have connections to Ohio State, but can’t say the same thing about UConn. I just hopped on the bandwagon this past year. All of this is to say that I am going to be more of an Ohio State basketball fan so I won’t be in the forum as much. I am still going to root for the huskies, but they’re not going to be my team. Thank you guys for welcoming me on the board, and I’ll be stopping by every once in a while when a recruit commits, for example.
Would you reconsider if our FB team goes undefeated this year?it was a mix of the team being good and also looking for a college team to root for. I have watched football for a while but I just got around to watching college basketball more recently.
The dislike option is there.Perhaps @temery can reintroduce the dislike option and you can give that a run.![]()
