LeMoyne transfer commits to UConn

Just watched the video of his game against us, yeah, he isnt 210, has to be at least 220-230, and although 6'8" is probably right (he looks a little taller than Karaban), he's long and appears to be fairly strong. I think he's a great pickup for what we have available. Can definitely backup the 4 if needed behind AK and Stewie, and as long as he can box out, rebound decently, and play serviceable defense (which it looks like he does), he should be able to pull time at the 5 if there is foul trouble with Reed/Reibe.

Out of the blue. He probably knows his role, but he might be an opportunist waiting for an opening.

I don't buy the narrative that he'll be fine being a cheerleader. If he can play Hurley will find a situation for him. It's a crowded front line, gonna be very hard to get playing time, but I think this guy is clever.

He's hoping for a shot.

Don't forget $$$$$

I'm thinking that Koroma can bang AK and Stewie in practice and "toughen them up" a little bit. Not a bad thing
What, Laurie Fine's not available?

.-.
Solid performances against two ACC teams and UConn statistically this past year.

20-25 in those three games and 4-4 from three (not realistically repeatable considering he took very few threes).

Over 50% each game against Texas, TT and Zona the year before also in limited attempts. Could be much worse for that scholarship.

How many years does he have eligibility left?

Our depth chart at the 4 is Alex, Stew and Koroma? Sounds like he is more like insurance at least as a rebounder. He's scoring well against D1’s and getting 7 rebounds a game. Plus he’s injury insurance? Might he get 5-8 minutes a game?
Reibe can play some 4 if needed too

Old, veteran guy who doesn't cost a lot of NIL $ and is a good "break glass in case of emergency" player. From his perspective, he gets a legit shot at a ring, play for the best CBB coaching staff in the country, and get a masters degree from UConn. Win win situation for both sides. I like it.

.-.
This is so the starters don’t have to play 40 minutes. All about trying to contain injuries, find playable 10 min guys. Adds some flexibility if we need 3 bigs two guards or vice versa and anyone can catch a breather

Reminds me a lot of the Joey C add we had late in the offseason and out of nowhere a couple years ago (obviously different type of player though). Won’t be getting too many minutes outside of injuries, but who knows when he may be called upon to be a spark plug off the bench.

Ps, who else remembers the game Joey California had against Georgetown in Storrs?

Me: Turned the game around in his minutes...maybe 5? Overhead backward pass to a Clingan dunk....very difficult trey from deep in the right corner/pull-up/very very smooth drive and lay-up/medium pull-up/another three. When he entered we were behind/when he
was taken out we were ahead and he got more hugs than you could count.

My account has him with 12 points and one assist...am I missing something?

I don't think I see the grid update in this thread so here it is

Grid gets scary if we lose Ball, Mullins and Stewart to the draft - could happen. Then we have 5. At least we have two Jacobs.
