Legends Classic Bubble Potential Starting Date

How much practice space, different gyms are available? That’s where my concerns with a Mohegan bubble would be
Good question, found this from CBS Sports:

"Mohegan Sun is secluded in the southeast part of Connecticut: it sits approximately one hour from both Providence's and Hartford's airports and has two hotel towers, approximately 1,600 rooms and more than enough social-distance-friendly meeting spaces and ballrooms for team practices."

Sweet. Each team is a solid OOC opportunity.

Definitely need to get a match up with BYU, they should be a solid team and make the tournament. Vandy is currently projected last in the SEC and USC will be a middle of the road team in the PAC 12, so I’m not sure wins against either would help boost our resume much.

*forgot USC picked up Mobley. Feels like they are always underwhelming as a program, curious to see if they can make the tourney. If so a win against them is big.

Don’t forget, we’ll have plenty of chances for quality wins moving forward...

BYU and USC making a cross country trip to CT and Vandy being “meh” hopefully means we get an early season trophy. Set the tone for winning the rest of the year.

Theres the arena itself, and since nothing else is going on inside it besides the games, Im sure there will be enough time over the course of a few days for 4 teams to each fit in a two hour practice, and give the maintenance staff plenty of time to disinfect locker rooms/facilities, balls, benches, etc.

All I want is the match-up with Mobley, would be really interesting.

Watched him play a few games and I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I would be given he’s one of the top prospects in the nation. It can take big guys awhile to get acclimated to top competition. Would be great to play him and the team earlier on. Winning a little tourney like this would be a great tone setter for the season.

Same, I'll be fascinated to watch his development. Physical tools are top notch. Hunter Dickinson ate his lunch.

One source close to the program told Vanquish the Foe that BYU will open with USC and then play UConn/Vandy the second game. USC finished last season ranked 55 in KenPom and is expected to compete for a tourney bid. Since BYU will be in Connecticut, the Cougars are also aiming to schedule a home-and-home series the same week with a Big East or ACC team starting on the road and the return game in Provo in 2021.

Meh, I'd prefer not to play Vandy in the first round but they'll be better than last year with Pippen/Disu a year older, DJ Harvey coming in from Notre Dame and rim protector Clevon Brown back from injury after playing just 7 games last season.

BYU and USC should both be good, but so far they are both ??? due to so much turnover. Both teams have a combined NINE transfers coming into their programs. Also curious how Tahj Eaddy plays in the first round.

My take: Vandy is clearly the weakest of the 4. I would have been disappointed with opening with Vandy if we were still in the AAC and needed quality OOC games. But given the quality opponents we now have, I prefer this as a tune-up opportunity to start the season.

Anyone else think the idea of BYU playing in a casino is weird? I think the MWC has played their tournament in Vegas but not sure if they did while BYU was in their league

not weird. The MWC tourney has been in Vegas forever and the WCC plays their conference tourney in the Orleans Arena which is at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Vegas as well.

TICKET INFO?????
My exact reaction lol. Would be nice if we could do what some football teams are doing and social distance with masks required. Who knows we’ve got some time to turn things around before December.

Looks like if they do it they will have people spread out in the upper deck.
