Learning the Boneyard, Lesson #2: Report, Ignore, and Polls
Learning the Boneyard, Lesson #3: Posting links
Learning the Boneyard, Lesson #4: Using the Toolbar
Learning the Boneyard, Lesson #5: Posting videos

If you have mastered the previous lessons, today's will be a snap, although I do have a curve ball to throw at you.

If you find a picture on a web site and would like to link it here on the Boneyard, use the icon on the Toolbar that looks like a postcard.

In the same way you would post a link or a video, you can Copy and Paste. This time, when you hover your mouse over a photo and right click, your browser smartly notices that you are perusing photos and the menu will list Copy Image Location rather than Copy Link Location. Use that option, then paste it the field for Image URL.

Now for the curve ball - unlike other sites, the Boneyard lets you upload photos that you have saved on your hard drive and here's how:

Click on Upload a File, found at the bottom right of a new post.

A pop up opens that shows you files on your PC. I'm using the browser Firefox so if you're using a different browser the screen may be different as well but more or less the same. Look for Pictures in the list on the left.

I tend to save my photos in folders; here's how my screen looked when I clicked on Pictures. From here, I'll choose which folder I want and then double click on the picture I want to upload to the Boneyard.

After the picture is uploaded, the screen looks like this. I want the full picture to display, so I choose Full Image.

I've tried to figure out how to make a picture bigger or smaller but haven't. Honestly, I haven't spent a lot of time on it either. Sometimes pictures come out "normal" sized and sometimes they're huge. I am not techie enough to explain why. See, the one below is also from my hard drive and it's fine.
