Wilson would have gotten a foul call--or three--on that last sequence.

Milford, thank you for my 1,000 like.
I was talking with UConnCat at a Madrid cafe today and said that Jewell can get a shot anytime, but only some of those are good shots. Spotting up in the corner when the ball is passed around is a good decision.

I reiterate

... , you got to appreciate their center
STEINBERGA. She is a tough player. I would think she could play in the WNBA.

Did Griner get a front tooth knocked out? Yikes - poster child for mouthguards!!! Unless it was knocked out in a non-basketball way...

And Dee is so tall! She must have grown to about 6'5"... ;)

I missed the first quarter, but I thought Tina and BG looked good.

Tina looked very good. BG was unstoppable. 15 pts in 13 minutes. If she played normal minutes, double that. Clarendon and Loyd look really good.
On the negative, Plum is really struggling with her shooting
I thought Clarendon moved the ball pretty well, but Sue's absence was noticeable at times.

Looks like that is a mouth guard over her top row of teeth. Probably has a stripe of color in the middle of the whiteness.

She's had a chipped front tooth for a while now.

Quick question, if Belgium beats Spain, there will be a 3-way tie for first, what is the tie breaker.

I believe Belgium gets the tie-breaker by beating Spain by at least 8 pts.

Yeah, even more physical than the W. Interior calls are rare, even on shots sometimes. The bludgeoning need to be severe or draw blood.

I guess the refs in DC called it that way for a reason....

Plum's shot has been off the opening 3 games and Clarendon doesn't shoot much, but they've combined for 22 assists to just 5 turnovers in the first 3 games. Not a bad showing for their first major international tournament, backing up the all time great.
