No one on the US is really having a breakout game. Just a methodical effort. On the other hand, you got to appreciate their center
STEINBERGA. She is a tough player. I would think she could play in the WNBA.

Laksa is finally looking like she is playing under control. 2-3 from 3pt land.

There are no games on Wednesday or Thursday, plus they had yesterday off. Does Sue have anything other than the broken nose?

I'm not sure about Laksa as a basketball player, but she could win a 3-point contest.

I don't think we appreciate how draining the WNBA championship + extracurricular may have been on Sue.

DT just got a T for throwing the ball at a player real hard to go out of bounds. Unfortunately, deserved imo

The player Dee hit with the ball had just knocked Dee to the floor. Dee said she was trying to throw it off her out of bounds, but the ref didn't buy it.

I've never seen players as physical with A'ja, even in the W.

International Play is always more physical than the WNBA. They don't call anything unless it is a bludgeoning. Still I like that better than the WNBA refs who anticipate calls that are not there.

I am hoping France /Canada with a bye on the line lives up to expectations and Kia continues her great play.

Yeah, even more physical than the W. Interior calls are rare, even on shots sometimes. The bludgeoning need to be severe or draw blood.

78-50 USA end of third

Griner 15 pts, 6 reb

Steinberga 16 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast

USA depth too much for any team so far.
