Man, does she look like a force to be reckoned with!Ayanna on the dribble drive!!!
Yes, that's Allie. FWIW it was posted in another thread, but no idea if it was verified, that she had work done on a deviated septum.Delighted to see Caroline looking fantastic! Great form on shots and assists! There were a couple of moments where she was clearly vocally leading the team in huddles.
Was it Allie who has the facemask? What happened?
I actually thought the red shirt was a male practice player untill I re-watched a couple of times. That was impressive.Ayanna on the dribble drive!!!
yes ... and i personally would like to see the PLAYERS rather than the zoom-ins to a basketball ticking the net; we assume that's the result after all////Some great and hopeful signs!
But that "music" is like fingernails on a chalkboard
I tend to think of Ayanna as being more similar to Ashlyn Watkins, mainly because NaLyssa is rather taller. But I take your point: Ayanna gives Geno another athletic, mobile big, and those are hard to come by. I mean, 6’2” players are aplenty on next year’s roster, but not so many like Ayanna. Morgan and Carol don’t look nearly as strong, and Blanca has great quickness but doesn’t look to be quite as strong either. Sarah alone has the full package of quickness, strength and all the offensive skills.Ayanna is an ATHLETIC 6'2; she is a NaLyssa Smith prototype but hopefully will have a higher ceiling with the knowledge and training of Geno and CD.

Those are some big kids!
She looks so much stronger. What a weapon she will be and she will only improve with a full season of play. There is perhaps more combined power on this team this year than ever before.Man, does she look like a force to be reckoned with!
Word! We are huge. And really good. Those are some big kids!
Two 6-5 players, one 6-4, one 6-3, five 6-2, one 6-0, one 5-11, one 5-10, three 5-9Word! We are huge. And really good.
But we don't have anybody 6-1. How can we compensate for the obvious gap? Really bad recruiting. Two 6-5 players, one 6-4, one 6-3, five 6-2, one 6-0, one 5-11, one 5-10, three 5-9
Nine players 6-2 or taller. Are there enough bigs now?
Depends what you mean by ‘combined power.’ With Ayanna Sarah Serah Ice Blanca KK Ash Kayleigh, that’s a lot of athletes, by which I mean a lot of tough, strong kids who can move their feet really well. If you ignore the scoring punch they can deliver, this starts to look like one of Dawn’s rosters. Full of athletes, but not always stocked with shooters. And I omitted Jana Gandy and Morgan. If Geno can find a lineup that is as athletic as one of Dawn’s powerhouses but also can shoot lights out from 3, that looks a lot like combined power once you add in Azzi Morgan and Allie to Sarah and Ash.There is perhaps more combined power on this team this year than ever before.
One of the things I noticed about Ice from the beginning is the power in her shoulders - broad and deep. I'd hate to run in to her!Edited to add: Ice may be the strongest of all the bigs, judging from the screens she sets. How many perfectly legal screens that flattened opposing guards did she set last season? I particularly remember one against Creighton that left Molly Mogenson lying on the floor for a few moments. Sarah sets a solid screen too. It would be cool if Gandy Serah and Jana could learn this skill from Ice.
I had a great view in the first half vs UCLA and I remember being impressed with how well she dealt with Betts strength. One of the things I noticed about Ice from the beginning is the power in her shoulders - broad and deep. I'd hate to run in to her!
Thank you, Geew1992!
Are the players going off campus until the fall semester starts in August?
