I remember being at that nit game against Lindsey hunter, we made a ridiculous come back to send it to over time only to lose. Hunter was on fire that night.

Was curious the last time UConn had at least 8 losses in their first 19 games, and found it happened in 92/93. Not really familiar with that team, but it had one senior* (Burrell), two juniors (Cormier & Macklin), 5 sophomores (Donyell, Donny, KO, Fair and Calhoun), and 4 freshman (Hayward, Johnson, Knight & Willingham).

*Toraino Walker was the second senior on this team, but left the team for good after only playing one game.

They beat BC twice.

One good lesson from looking at the 92-93 team: look at how much better they became the following year, as the younger players matured.

Many posters have blasted our frosh and sophomores, saying that they are not division 1-level talent. Most of our players are hard workers and they will improve...just like the freshmen and sophomores from the 92-93 team did.

Travis Knight, Donny Marshall and KO all became NBA players it didn't look like it that year.

Interestingly as a Freshman KO had a better than 2.0 assist to turnover ratio. This team needs to better understand the importance of that metric.
Quite frankly, not until JC got Ray did he fully incorporate the need for great shooting - how that made the game easier. That was followed by Caron and then Rip. Granted Rip was more of a scorer rather than a shooter.
