Let's remember this was Maine (lost to 40 to QU) and also know they have the 12 day break with finals, usually never a great game for the kids:

BAZZ - played aggressive and really pushed the ball down their throats. Honestly not a good game thought he was trying to cut the mustard way too many times when he should have just passed it.......he's Bazz and we're not - he gets a pass.

BOAT - he was really good after a while, especially when he made his ind up to get to a spot and stop and shoot it. He seems to have a plan rather than run amuck hoping to make something happen. This time with the stop and pops he made more. Liked it.

OMAR - until the 2nd half he hadn't made 2 shots in a row for about 6-7 games. He looked better but not great. Needs to rebound and defend better but I think for him it's predicated off of his offense unfortunately.

PHIL - He did some good things only to negate that with something not required like bodying into the defender rather than taking the O rebound and flipping it right back in. Still our best option but I expect a lot more from him. Slow out of the gate.

DEANDRE - He made his shots and blocked a couple - a few more boards would be better but he was active as heck. Also the back in jump hook can be so effective with his length would like to see it more than once or twice a game but I thought DD was solid.

GIFSTER - Just keep making shots Germany! I'm only repeating myself, oh why not - he needs more looks. The guy is money and at some point this needs to be recognized a bit more. He also rebounds the ball well when in position so it will never hurt to throw him some minutes on their bigs. People have mentioned his defense is waning at times and I do see that - tends to want to help/anticipate too much and gets caught with his trunks down. The guy does a lot of good things, steals last night were nice too.

KROMAH - Just like him being out there. Defends, drives the other team a little crazy with his mismatch of size as he can guard small and last night he made his 3's and looked solid when squaring to shoot. Seems to shoot better off the pass with no dribble rather than creating. Also had a great move to the hole which he just missed as it rolled off the rim. Lucky to have him for sure!

OLANDER - Listen, he needs to grow up and hopefully the mishap was exaggerated by people who heard something. The fact he didn't see the floor after his 2nd foul makes me nervous that he has gone backwards yet again and is lost in the fact he is a role player. He was awful on the defensive end and got 2 fouls he deserved for being slow and lazy. To bitch about that tells us a little about the kid.......do we need him? Yes need the occasional good game and experience. Do we need another AO? No.....time to make a move if he's not on board. No time for a loss in chemistry. If there are only 5 toes in - OUT

BRIMAH - Love the kid. But for him it is noticeable even the smile is waning as the games go on. He is thinking too much and not having as much fun. The game is getting really fast for him and people are even beating him to the hoop without an attempt at a block. His hands are never ready for a rebound but mostly because I think he doesn't have the instincts to read the ball yet. He is going to learn as he plays and the bumps are here. Hopefully by years end he is an impact player for now his minutes are still of a student.

SAMUEL - Okay it is one game at garbage time so I will temper it. Let's start on D then - he can lock his guy up and has a lot of Taliek on that end for sure I like that. On the other end....uh.....he makes Taliek look like Ben Gordon shooting the ball for one - can't shoot it. To make matters a bit worst he made multiple bad decisions in the half court set as well as the break. Again, garbage time so who knows but not a lot of good things to say about his PG abilities when I saw his first 9-10 minutes stint - actually hate to say it but scary bad!

FACEY - Once again shows he has a nose for the ball off the rim. Nice carom and dunk which showed how explosive he can be when he matures. Has a nice release on his jumper and I think will eventually be able to score it from the 12-15 ft range but needs to get stronger going to the hole. Got the ball in the middle and shot it from a 6'4" guys perspective by not gathering and going up first. His ability to rebound will get him minutes eventually.

Some of the summaries also have a good look at the overall impact after 9 games others not as much. Hey 9-0 how much can we complain right? But now as the season moves on a Top3-4 seed is going to be our minds and the difference may be some of these guys improvement over the next 3-4 months!

Thanks for the write up and your efforts superstar. With regards to the "Phil is still our best option" comment though I have to say it is analogous to this Palin comment:

I think Phil can improve. Maybe I will put all my chips on Phil per your advise and roll the dice. It is such a long shot that the return on that roll would be huge. In Phil we trust. I am all in! :) lol

Defending Olander is more painful than going to the dentist.

Hey it's painful for any of us right now to get on any guys bus and defend them BLUE when actually we need them all in some way. I'm just thinking I see hints here and there to tease me, I hope! LOL.......

But if any others want to I'm all in!

detailed "opinion" LOL.........hope Bidwell was fun, always is!

Omar simply needs to give up on the 3 for now and take it inside for his assortment of runners, mid range jumpers, floaters, layups, banks, etc. Fake the 3, drive baseline, stop and pop at 10 ft.
