Per New York Times: Lance Armstrong at Center of Cycling's Most Sophisticated Doping Program.

Sounds like the truth on this will finally come out. Many still believed he was clean after he stopped fighting against this the last time but now it seems all will come out soon enough. Apparently in this case, where there is smoke, there is a raging inferno.

I don't care. It's obvious if a guy beats the top ten cyclists in the world by a mile and all of them were doping, then he was as well.

It doesn't bother me at all either, as I figured he was doping when it first hit the press. However, I had no idea it was as complex as this. This will officially ruin whatever "clean" credibility he had left. I just cant believe some people still actually thought he was clean throughout his career.

Of course he was doping, anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. I don't care about it though, I'm going to let you in on a little secret, ped's are rampant in pretty much all sports. Guarantee that well over half of the NFL is on ped's.

Nope, everyone is squeaky clean nowadays. ;)

Name all the clean cyclists he raced against.
I don't think anyone here is claiming that Armstrong and his competitors weren't doping, at least I'm not. The astounding thing to me was that not only was he doping, but he was at the center of it on the U.S.P.S. team and strongly encouraging it amongst the other members. There is a big difference from taking a few PEDs and running the show for a entire team IMHO.

I think the idea that he was the epicenter of this is a overly dramatic narrative - I read the USADA's report and there was a lot of random dot connecting and self-serving by witnesses.

He doped, they doped, everyone doped, but criminal mastermind angle was comedic.

That very well could be, I haven't read the USADA's report or anything. It will be interesting to see what they "found."

I am delighted that they have stripped Armstrong of all of those cycling titles....

And I look forward to the day the titles are awarded to the real winners.....

As soon as that international cycling organization determines which of the competitors, if any, were not doping....

Based on this article, it sounds like Hincapie was the "pusher". He was always called Lance's right hand man and now we really know what that meant.

Most of the Americans in this article who testified seemed to be motivated more to keep their jobs and make a little more money. Most claim to have quit using by 2006.

Danielson said he quit because he was scared that someone else's blood would get injected into him!

It's no wonder that most of these guys all fled to Slipstream/Garmin which is run by Jonathan Vaughters and has a zero tolerance doping policy. They knew they would never have to put up with this crap. And they still win some races. And they win clean.

As an example MLB players like Derek Jeter are doing HGH when you see a 38 year old guy having greatly improved stats this year

The USADA is just filled with awful people that ought to find real jobs.
