How can so many highschool superstars get to the next level and play such an ugly brand of basketball year after year???

The first half Tennessee played like a zircon in the rough (idea borrowed from Vol Nation).
 
Higgs looks to be a talented and exciting young player for Longhorns.
 
I feel bad for Holly. When she was promoted (to HC) I opined that she just inherited the worst HC job in America. Tough enough to replace a legend but made far worse coaching in Pat's long shadow. Add to that AD difficulties, retention of Pat's staff and an unforgiving fan base an the challenges have become nearly insurmountable. I wish her well but feel her leash has become very short.

Although Texas leads predicting they lose this game because of fouls they committed and missed Free Throws. 5 minutes left in 3rd QTR and Lady Vols already shooting Free Throws.

They're hitting from the perimeter though. TENN standing around a LOT on offense.

Texas is funny. Hitting threes and missing point blank layups. Maybe just shoot the threes?

She's complaining about the refs now - called a charge on TN and called a block on TN on the other end. Got pretty excited a bout the 'bad' charge call. Then later they had a little discussion about how they have a better angle the refs, replay, etc, and the refs are doing a good job after all. I got the feeling someone whispered in her ear and told her to knock it off.

In the 3rd Quarter Deshields became Diamond. She hit shots, played well--defense?? Maybe!!
The coaches of both teams need to be retrained.
Texas doesn't know how to use her big women. Vols look like too much of an anti-team concept.
I guess Geno and Uconn have me spoiled rotten.
 
Hey, remember when UConn scored 50 in the first half against OSU?

Tennessee sitting at 47 with 5 minutes left.

This is terrible basketball. They basically need to show UConn and...whoever UConn is playing, I guess. Maybe Baylor occasionally. And I guess ND once in a while. But this is setting the women's game back a few years.
 
I love how Lady Vol fans think Diamond is a game changer like Stewie. Not even in the same stratosphere.

Deshields plays so sloppily. She throws terrible passes and looks like she is trying maybe 50 percent of the time. She would drive Geno nuts.
