It's tied at 23 at halftime. WSU is 1-5 with losses to Creighton, Mizzou, ASU, Richmond, and SE Missouri STate. They did manage to beat FIU though for their lone win. Good lawd - regardless of how Tenn does in the 2nd half, they are putting up frighteningly bad performances...

1-5 Wichita State's two starting guards are 5'2" and 5'5" and their tallest starter is 6'0". They have a bench of one, with a second kid who just returned from an injury today.
Tennessee just stands around on offense, there is little movement or screening, and they force the ball inside every chance they get. One of the worst offenses I've ever seen. Sad. Well, not really. I love it.

Lady Vols had an 8-0 run taking a 8 point lead. I thought here they go, they take over the game with 3 minutes left in 3rd quarter. Instead they only lead by 1 point 40-39 end of 3rd qtr.

44-44 now. Tennessee is just awful. I think the most mystifying thing (well there are many shockingly bad things about watching Tennessee play) is that their effort just seems to ebb and flow. They just got a TO by employing the full court press. Then the intensity disappears and they go back to standing around.

It's not just on Holly. Players need to bring it, and they need to hold each other accountable, but it's up to Holly to put players on the court who are giving 100%, even if that means benching your "star(s)"

Tennessee is just not a good team although they have good players. You cannot just collect stars and instantly expect to win. The genius of Geno and his staff is the way they put together teams and not just a collection of the best players.
