I can never tell if this kid is legitimately expressing his opinions or playing some immature jealousy game to get more attention from the schools.
Anyone who thinks we should take a pass on Iverson is out of their mind, he is one of the beat players in the class and a truly unique talent.
Agree. People are (over)reacting as spurned in a way like lovers. A few weeks a ago he was a desired 'get', he makes one comment and well ............................
Anyway I think he would be a good addition, improving with time as UConn players do. Nothing wrong with Florida, people assume its the lifestyle and not the coach and team. He is free to choose wherever he wants to go, and I hope he doesn't troll the Yard.
Not spurned here.......reported on him during his HS season and the feedback was not good against coaching comp...you can see the history......if he's taken it up a step both in the classroom and on the court I'm all in......if he's the same player with his jump shots or nothing attitude move on please......I'm going the opposite of what you guys are saying - we don't HAVE TO keep a kid in-state if he doesn't fit the chemistry required to win a NC.......in Jan/Feb/March he didn't...........they may change to get what they want but can they completely? Can he sit and watch and earn his time? His attitude tells me otherwise....some kids like the silver patter and others like Calhoun, Nolan and Facey GET IT!!
I hear you and points well taken. Its just that Calhoun has a way of humbling the cockiest, boldest and most arrogant of kids. Freshmen immediately get a reality check on day one. Only one I can recall that didn't change was Khalid, he was just too much too handle, even for Calhoun. Rashad was also another example, man was he confident!
