Dosn't look to good for us but honestly i don't care. He seems a little over rated to me. Saw him play many times in high school and never looked that solid. It's much different watching a real game than a youtube highlight.

One thing I can never fault a kid for is choosing to spend multiple years in Florida for college as opposed to Connecticut. If I could go back and do it again, I wouldn't pick any other school in the Northeast, but I'd have to give serious consideration to Florida and Arizona for school.

Care to tell us why you'd "go back and do it again"?

I attended UConn for my undergrad and Miami for my grad work. I find it hard to choose between my favorite co-ed from Twister's nickle night and my most special Cuban commuter senorita from Little Havana. I have fond memories of both. Yes, bigger talent pool down South but more than enough lovely lady Huskies.

If you couldn't get laid by the sweater girls up North, the warm weather ladies wouldn't have even realized you were on campus, trust me.

If you're a UConn guy it sounds like you're not proud of your time in Storrs so I don't feel bad for dropping a little reality on you.

If you went to BC, Central Connecticut, Eastern or some other community college then I can't knock you for dreaming of college life outside of circle jerks and dungeons and dragons marathons.

So who would you prefer to have instead considering Iverson is so overrated? So if Ollie were to land him you still wouldn't care? I'm looking forward to Ollie landing this kid bro. UConn needs him. Assuming academics are in order it would be a huge addition. We still have a shot. I think Ollie can pull it off! This is what he is great at right? Lets do it Kevin!

Florida has Smith (VT transfer) Walker (ESPN #8) and Harris already as front court signees. This isn't UConn football where we lost Hernandez to Florida. We are UConn basketball right? This is a legit 5***** CT prospect!

C'Monn Kuran Choose UConn! Tune in to the bone-yard! Well if you do choose Florida good luck! The ladies may be a distraction but you should be a first year 12ppg/6 reb guy at Florida regardless!

Jim doesn't bite Kuran when/if he decides to be around!

GOOD please be a Gator ................we'll do better trust me!!!

"Coach Calhoun wasn't really there....." No kidding huh?

Syracuse has been cooling for a reason, remember the kid from New London that went there and we were all wondering if we lost an in-state star...........well let him go. Between what I heard and the fact the kid doesn't want to be the next home-state star without our staff kissing his a**....he can't leave for Gainesville fast enough for me.........

Wherever he lands, New York recruiting expert Tom Konchalski says that school will be getting a “great talent.”
“He rebounds, he scores inside, he’s a great talent,” Konchalski said. “Absolutely a great talent.
“The last six months, there’s been a tremendous change in his approach to the game. He’s playing terrific.”

So now Syracuse is our recruiting barometer? If Syracuse isn't as interested then life is good in Husky land? WOW! LOL

guess he did not get the Prez lunchin!

If your not as pretty (UConn) at least "put out" thats how you get more dates! GEEZ as Chris Mad Dog Russo would say!

I still think UConn is the best fit assuming academics are in order and Jim hits the high road. We just need to add some organizational structure to the recruiting process. Suzie, Ollie then Jim should be the heirarchy! ;)

Calhoun is the master manipulator and is playing his cards very well. He is boxed into a corner though regardless. These days of hard core contemplation for JC have to be accompanied by a bottle of Bushmills 21 year old Single Malt Irish Whiskey! Most likely Pat is partaking also in excess!

Year 2013-14 UConn opens in Vegas @ 100/1 with the players below. I think if Boneyarders drop $ 2,500 for the quarter of a million payout you win!

We use part of that cash to pay off Boatright for staying 1 more year! We go small ball and with the best guards in America!

Starters

Olander
Iverson (McDonalds All-American)
Napier
XRM (McDonalds All-American)
Boatright (We work a deal out with his peep$) hahaha

Calhoun (sixth man of the year in America)
Daniels
Giffey
Facey
Wolfe (minutes depend on matchups)

speed speed and more speed all the way to DALLAS! Jimmy rides off into the sunset with his 4th ring (assuming he screws his head on right and takes his head out of his !!)

Played baseball in college and a typical spring break for me was a doubleheader in Lakeland with 90% humidity, a bus that wasn't air conditioned, little red ants feasting on my legs under my pants and mosquitoes sucking blood from any exposed skin . Usually got only a few days in Daytona and have to admit it was the highlight of college for me. There really was nothing like spring break in Florida if partying and promiscuity were your goals. Ah, the memories!

I went to college in Florida. Girls look way better in short shorts than winter coats.

Let me be clear, basketball is second to football at UF and it's obviously the opposite at UConn. Need to make sure that we can maintain in-state talent when Calhoun is no longer coach.

Agreed we need to keep the players who fit the program. But they also need to let the in-state talent go if they are a question mark!

In this case, I'm thinking everywhere else is good!;)

My goal was to see them out of either.

Anyone who thinks we should take a pass on Iverson is out of their mind, he is one of the beat players in the class and a truly unique talent.

This could be the case, but grades and his motor have been called into question. With our recent academic issues, we can not afford to take a risk on someone with poor grades. I think this is a major concern to the coaching staff and why we are luke-warm on him.
