Probably only came to one of the games. I don't think we ever offered him.Interesting. Don’t remember this name or visit at all being linked to us. It’s a connection.

His stats are so weird from season to season and it's weird he didn't start this season. 50% from three, 6 attempts is good volume but he probably should've been shooting 10 of them. For the record, him shooting 83% eFG% on catch and shoot plays this season is absolutely mental.
I think he was hurt his junior year. Great shooter, but wasn't very good defensively. That said, he still should have been starting at Dayton. His stats are so weird from season to season and it's weird he didn't start this season. 50% from three, 6 attempts is good volume but he probably should've been shooting 10 of them.
He looks like what we all wish Polley was.
Best shooter in the country. 6'6 from NYC.
I'm very high on Solo. This was the by far the most difficult rotation in the country to break into. Solo probably would've killed it at Dayton this season.More ready to start at the moment than Solo Ball. We don’t really have a 2
What's the reason?Solo > Brea
If Brea comes here and starts, we’re not very good. There’s a reason that he’s come off the bench for four years.
Maybe bc Dan saw the pics of him cold-shouldering Rip and his Dad?! Come on kid, act a little impressed lolProbably only came to one of the games. I don't think we ever offered him.
Just like we were doomed when Gaffney and Diggins transferred and we got Newton and Diarra?Solo > Brea

Watching those clips, I was completely shocked that he's not just a catch and shoot 3 Pt shooter. The kid has a handle, can jack it up lightning quick off the bounce, he plays above the rim, showed some quickness and looks like a dynamic scorer who apparently put it together late. Based on the athleticism in those clips, the UConn staff should be able to coach him up on the defensive end. Hopefully he can learn Hurley's motion offense.I remember videos like this last year with Cam Spencer...oh wait it was actually some guy named Timberlake. Easy up on the begging. This is Uconn.
Well its a highlight video and everyone looks great but his shot looks clean and for sure as you said he has a quick trigger. Cam was very dynamic and all over the court but Hawk was basically a guy that came off screens and just nailed 3s all day and we won with him so this kid just has to be himself. My dream scenario for this team would be Reed, Brea, McNeeley in addition to Abraham and Nowell. Wow that would be insane.Watching those clips, I was completely shocked that he's not just a catch and shoot 3 Pt shooter. Based on what I saw, he'd be a great fit. He looks like a more athletic version of Cam Spencer. I only watched a fraction of the clips, so I don't know if he sees the floor well and is much of a distributor. He just might be more a bigger and more athletic Joey Cal than the crafty Cam Spencer, but either way, if there's mutual interest sign him up!
Edited: I watched the rest of the clips and I don't think any of his 3 ever touched the rim. Now granted, they're only showing his made 3s but my gosh! You'd think you'd see bunch rattle in, but they are all net. I really hope they land him.
If Hurley and the staff could add Brea, McNeeley and Reed, that would be a nice haul. Improvement from the returning playerd plus those 3, plus the 2 incoming freshmen, would pretty much fill what we need and give us a shot at a repeat.Diarra/Nowell
Ball/Brea/Ross
Stewart/McNeeley
Karaban/Roumoglou/Abraham
Johnson/Reed/Singare
That would be the deepest team in the country and a bonafide contender. Sign me up.

Did you watch the clips?!? He didn't go to the rim very often, but when he did, he threw one down with authority. I don't think Cam dunked the ball even once this year. Cam has a solid build that handled a lot of contact. Koby has a slighter build which is probably why he doesn't go into the paint much. Might do him some good to hit the weight room during the off season so that he can broaden his game.A more athletic version of Cam Spencer.
I can't tell if you're joking or not.
Cam wasn't one dimensional on offense. Brea basically lived at the 3pt line. Cam got half his points inside the arc and went to the FT line a fair amount, and is also a very good passer (Brea at least at Dayton was not). Spencer was also an underrated help defender and despite his lack of athleticism even rebounded decently. I think Brea or Hausen would play a slightly super sized Joey C role and not a replacement for Cam.Did you watch the clips?!? Don't get me wrong, I love Cam's game. He was very crafty and good scorer from anywhere on the floor, but scoring over a defender was definitely not his game. Brea seems to spend most of the time beyond the arc, but did show some mid range game and a couple of athletic plays at the rim, including a couple of nice weakside blocks.
I thought he looked more athletic than Cam. Not saying he'll be a better player. Spencer was special. His intensity is unmatched. He made up for his lack of athleticism by being so crafty on both ends of the floor. He'd jump into passing lanes, similar to Nadav back in the day. He used misdirection to shake his defender and make just enough space to kiss it off the glass.
The fact is Cam used up his eligibility, and Brea looks like a nice fit. He's probably more of a Jordan Hawkins "type" player than Cam Spencer, and Hurley found a way to win the NC with both.
Would love to see this depth chart on first night. Doomed.Diarra/Nowell

Cam is so much more than an intense, crafty, scorer. He was probably our most polished player this year. He just never put himself in positions where he'd have to use athleticism to bail himself out. His pacing was deliberate and the product of exceptional skill and practice. Shooting is great, but that's not really what we're losing there.Did you watch the clips?!? Excellent assessment. There were so many facets to Cam's game that made him special.Cam wasn't one dimensional on offense. Brea basically lived at the 3pt line. My guess is 2+ depending on who staysAny idea just how many players UConn would be interested in from the portal?
Stop it. This his actually put up numbers against good competition.I remember videos like this last year with Cam Spencer...oh wait it was actually some guy named Timberlake. Easy up on the begging. This is Uconn.
