I have no idea what happened to her tonight. I hope she comes out stronger Monday!
Not only did she miss all her 3's but I don't know if Geno was pleased with her effort. She played only 16 minutes. Gabby, Saniya and Kiah were ALL more productive than KML and probably got a bunch of her PT...

Her touch was off for some reason.

We shot 70%, despite K's 1-6. She had never been under 11 points in the NCAA tourney.

Morgan Eye had 9 3's today in a Missouri NIT win. Not sure where that puts her.

.-.
Wow! That puts her in good shape, but her team has to keep winning so she gets more games.
Nah, she is only at something like 365, 4 more games to play if her team can get to WNIT final. KML has a better chance as she is at 381 and has a possibility of playing 5 more games..

Yes...that is for the all time NCAA record but most threes in a year...might be in jeopardy

KML will have to shoot 5 in each of the next 5 games to hold off Kelsey Mitchel as the later is only 2 shots away to even the record.

KML had a bad tape job on her ankle which was hurting her achilles! She'll be fine! According to Jim Fuller.

K Mitchell had three in their loss to today therefore she had just enough to break the DIV 1 single season 3-pointer, for a total of 127. She made it harder for KML to own this single season record, she will have to shoot 24 3-pointers in the rest of the championship..She also need to score 80 points to overtake Nykesha Sales to become No. 3 scorer at UConn.

I'm in Storrs watching this game and getting beyond jacked at the half with every trey KML has made so far. Up to 385 now! For this second half, I'm begging for more for Kaleena.

COME ON K!!!

SHE DID IT!!!!

395 treys for her career!!! There's a good chance she ends up the #3 all-time UConn scorer too.

I'm not ashamed to admit that it got a little dusty in this house when Kaleena not only set the record but extended it.

I'm so proud of this kid.

Nice thread, Alex. And it continues. Let's go for 400 next game and 410 the game after that.

She is 118-236 for the season, back to exactly 50%. She also tied the UConn season record ... set by the great All-American Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis in 2012-13.

And her 3's were important tonight. Nice see the makes in a game where they were needed. She kept us in the game in the first half against Dayton. Way to go KML...
Very important tonight. She shot 7-10 under game pressure. Outstanding, clutch play.

I think she needs 20 to pass Nykesha. I'm counting on it. Go, Kaleena!

BTW, there's another amazing statistic:

KML now has 97 assists. If she gets three more, each of the UConn starting five will have 100. How cool is that???
She's usually on the other end of assists. One of the great finishers. And she was just named a John Wooden 1st Team All-American. Kaleena, Stewie, Jewell, Tiffany, and Nina.

Congratulations to a wonderful young lady on a great acheivement. But without hesitation she answered "The Final Four" as to which was more important. The record or winning.

THE GREATEST 3-POINT SHOOTER IN NCAA HISTORY !!! AFTER ALL SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH, SHE DESERVES THE HELL OUT OF THIS INCREDIBLE

ACCOMPLISHMENT. WHAT A GREAT YOUNG LADY. TO ALL HER MEAN CRITICS, SHE PROVED YOU ALL VERY VERY WRONG. YOU GO, K !!!

[Excuse the repeated post, but Kaleena deserves it all.]

One post-script to KML's performance in Albany: it seemed like she shot very well most of the season, but in spots, the pursuit of the record was getting in her head. Now she can relax completely having surpassed it. I'd love to see her shoot lights out without any pressure of the record weighing on her anymore. Just as she said in the post-game interview with Holly Rowe, the NC is the focus...
