KML is threatening the single-season UConn record of 118 treys, set by ... KML two seasons ago.
She was almost too open. As usual, her misses were long or short. They are ALWAYS dead on line.Up to 375 with hopefully eight games to go. I was just upset kaleena didn't hit a couple more in the second half!
If she can just get four more tomorrow, she'd only need to average two a game the rest of the way to set the record.
Go Kaleena,;you have a record to set!!!
Over the course of this season, KML 's record remained conceivable but a tall order. However, she's been on such a tear that she only needs to average two treys a game rather than three.
I'm disappointed she didn't get any more treys in the second half again today, but she did get herself to 380 for her college career. With what looks a lot like seven games to go, two triples per game gets Kaleena to the distinction of greatest three-point shooter in WCBB history.
Absolutely .....If KML had those games she would be blowing the record away and out of sight.Could you imagine where she would be if she had played those 12 games last season.
Wrll, she's gotten four in each of UConn's two previous games with USF, so if indeed that's who UConn faces tomorrow, 384 seems like a minimum.I'd love to see her break the career and season records. Let's hope for 385 or so tomorrow.
just checked MD-OSU game, looks like Kelsey Mitchell might break the season record first, she is at 122 this season after today's game. But if OSU goes through one and done in NCAA like usual, then KML might have a better chance.I'd love to see her break the career and season records. Let's hope for 385 or so tomorrow.
She would probably already have the record.01Neaggrad02 said:Could you imagine where she would be if she had played those 12 games last season.
She made 66 threes last year. She had in the range of 120 in her sophomore year and looking at something in that area once all is said and done this year. So I'd guess that she'd have gotten around 450 for her career if it weren't for last year's injuries.Could you imagine where she would be if she had played those 12 games last season.
The difference being that Shimmel was on a far more talented team. Mitchell is shooting about her team's average and, IIRC, Shoni shot about 7 percentage points worse than the rest of the team last year. They're both a ton of fun to watch, though.K is 103-199 for .518 on the season.
Mitchell is 122-319 for .382.
Kelsey has 640 FGAs and 207 FTAs. Yikes! Talk about being the focus of the offense. She makes Shoni look like a reluctant shooter.
Who is #2 on the career scoring list? (I know Moore is #1 and will be there for a very long time)1-5 tonight, to get to 381. She hit 2 with her foot on the line.
She needs to be aggressive early in the first round, as a 50-point blowout is likely.
She had a great tourney and could finish #3 in UConn career scoring. Go K!!!!

thanks! I forgot about her! (It is so easy to forget about the 12-point half and she scored 9 point for the championship game.)Tina Charles
Yep, 82 to tie Nykesha and 83 to pass her. In hopefully 6 games. That's only 14 ppg. I think she can get it.thanks! I forgot about her! (It is so easy to forget about the 12-point half and she scored 9 point for the championship game.)
KML only needs to score 82 in the final games to be ranked third....very doable. And it will only last shortly before Stewart overtakes her early next season.
