when in the offensive set is telegraphed (lazy)... if you watched UConn long enough you know they're going to swing it around the arc off screens, handoffs and cutting.

She needs to think before passing cause it seems like she thinks the defender isnt going to jump out and steal the pass.

She does sometimes telegraph her passes. It's something she's improved upon throughout the course of the season, but she had a couple of relapses last night.

She is, however, a very good entry passer (not so much on display against Rutgers, but has been over the course of the season.

She, also, needs to learn to stop directly above the screen and shoot over it more frequently. If the initial defender tries to follow bumping into the screen there is a good chance that she, also, bumps into KML and KML goes to the line.

I am more inclined to forgive KML's errors since she usually makes up for it soon after. And she doesn't do the "dumb turn over the ball->foul the defender" stuff, either.
Very true, she rarely does that.

Yup - There were no entry passes against Rutgers.:( At the end of the game last night I wondered of I had just witnessed a new UConn record for fewest points in the paint only 10. It may even have been a new NCAA record also since Rutgers only scored 10.

The sad part is that I read initially that we had -10 points in the paint...and I believed it.

Daddy, your point is well taken, but among us old Boneyarders may I suggest you watch out what you say before you hit the "post" button

"She needs to think. . . because it seems like she thinks. . . "

not worried about it... the point was well taken.

(reviewed it for 30 minutes before hitting the post reply) shrugs

Twas my immediate reaction, too, until I opened the thread. Talk about bad mojo.

Tiffany's shooting

Kelly's steals

Everyone's passing was much crisper last night with many fewer high risk passes that had not been working out lately.

totally agree... I think KML made only one last night, early on. She also surprised Kelly with a after-rebound outlet pass but in the 1/2 court set she was fine
