Not really! Although she was impressive in the ND still don't like her outside shots, her shots are way to flat-footed, I would like to see her develop into a post player not a jump shooter. I'd also like to see her develop into a Jamelle Elliot type, be vocal and fight for every rebound there is in the paint.

What you want from her, you already get...and her outside shooting is not a high % of her buckets. She's vocal, a leader and fights for rebounds.
Of course, with Kiah on the floor her boards will look modest.

Well said Geno-ista, well said. Going back to what was said and inferred about her in the Stanford thread is sort of embarrassing.

especially since she played ALL 45 minutes in that game and was doing a lot of the same non- stat collecting things.

really? an acknowledged top shooter from long and you want her to completely change her game? Add to her skills, yes, but she is money from beyond the arc when she can get free, and sometimes this depends upon someone setting screens for her. Additionally, she is a target for the opponents defenses, just as Stewey is. These teams think that all they have to do is disrupt KML and Stewey and they will be set.

Boy, were they wrong, as I believe is your statement above.

Why not let those few posters who were so hell-bent on convincing the rest of us that Special-K was slow, overweight, out of training and incapable of defending or playing inside speak for themselves? Oh wait! They could speak for themselves if they wanted to. Haven't heard much from them lately, though.

Very good points. You take what the defense gives you and they gave very little to KML and Stewie which allowed Nurse and Tuck to go off. Still looking at the stats KML and Stewie had very good games. You know that IF thread. Well the next time if there is a next time ND and UConn meet, well I think Geno puts a taller guard on Lloyd and UConn doesn't make 24 turnovers.

Hey this is a complete team. Geno is working on them getting things done quicker thus the reason for the TOs. I expect Saniya Gabby and Stokes to get more confidence as the season rolls on. This is the best team in WCBB and their aint nobody close right now.

Well now we get to watch our taped games for the next week and a half until we play DePaul UCLA St Johns and Duke. We also have 2 games home and away with SMU and some pretty good recruits checkin us out. An early verbal from 2 Texans or an Illini would be a great way to start off 2015.
To your point TonyC- of a taller guard on Lloyd- and/or those types of opponents-- I think Gabby, even though she is playing down low for the most part, could easily become that specialist for a while, off the bench to primarily defend. She doesn't look overwhelmed by the big moments out there- that I have seen. She can really become a match up nightmare for the opposition on offense also.

I was totally blown away by her efforts on both sides of the ball

12 pts, 5 of 9 shooting, 6 Rebs, 2 steals, 2 assists- and she should have had 3-4 more assists! Passed the ball like Magic Johnson. And she looked like Hartley controlling the game many times during our half court offense. She was running the floor on defense as well as offense. I know she wasn't the story today, but she was superb as I have watched 2 more times. I hope we can close some of the "stuff" on the prior threads in the recent past. Because of her offensive capabilities, she like Stewie, help everyone on the floor just by being out there. Just sayin! Goin to bed- I'll shut up!!! Go Huskies!
Well you know if she were in shape she would have played 37 minutes ;) Just kidding. I love KML and she was amazing.

Don't worry, I can perform exorcisms.
Oh know- JFC- pls don't start falling into the Icebear "web"! IB is too sharp, witty & sarcastic for you. He reels you in slowly and then Bam!!! Your fragile ego I fear won't be able to recover! And Meyers whatever and David in Naples are even worse !
No offense guys- just trying to protect one of my season ticket friends that is new to the board! Have a great day! :)

I think KML is the best passer on this team. She played a great great game.
Another accurate assessment !!! And I think she has the best, and/ or softest hands on the team Stewie's are pretty good too!

Thanks for the warning my friend. I was starting to feel that way. Some dogs you have to be more careful with than others! ;)

This year in 7 games Morgan is shooting 4-18 from 3 for 22.2%
Last year in 8 games Morgan shot 7-17 from 3 for 42.9% from 3 (2nd best on the team).

How do you support your assertion?

Surprisingly, I think Kia is the best passer on the team for mechanics. She may miss an open opportunity or mis-judge how fast an opponent can get into the passing lane, but I've yet to see her send a soft pass, attempt a sideline-to-sideline pass or pass into traffic like most freshmen (and some of their elders). I'm really psyched for when her understanding of the offense and her teammates matures.

The number speaks itself, and her form and technique that is not a sharp shooter like. :)

AND, for the hundredth time, Maria Conlon once went 0 for 31 on 3s. Fortunately she did not let that discourage her. And Diana notoriously went 1 for 15 in the NC semifinal her frosh year. (Don't know how many of them were 3s.) She also kept shooting. :)

Interesting; what do you find lacking in her form? Specifically?
