KK is still winning

Curious what the objective of this camp is. Is it a skills, mental toughness or other format? How are attendees chosen? Appears to be a great group of ladies.

Love the necklace.

Saw KK hitting a bunch of threes in highlight videos, hoping she brings that energy into next season because it’ll make UConn that much better.
her inability to shoot threes will be a much bigger issue next year without paige aroud her. she's gotta up that game to stay on the floor in a variety of situations

Yes! I noted that the necklace is thematically very fitting for a Husky. With all due respect to the Buckeye, Terp, Wolverine, Commodore, and others in attendance, I think it was meant for KK.

She had no problem shooting threes, she just needs to start hitting threes. ;) Maybe this will convince the coaching staff they already have the point guard they need.

Naw, I don't think so. Her shot will get better however 3 point shooting will only be a smaller part of her game. KK will get better, and that's bad for all our opponent's next season. KK will take on a larger part in leadership while getting better at all the amazing things she does, most notably defense. We have some amazing young talent who can fill it up, with some vetts who can do it all. Don't look for KK to do what Paige did, no one can take her place. What Geno needs from KK is to be just a better more mature version of herself. Not a huge jump for KK, and she will handle it. It is trouble for all our opponents, and WCBB.

the problem is 3 point shooting was already somewhat of an inconsistency with this team...and you're not going to replace paige, but throwing out a 22% from 3 guard is a huge liability when teams no longer have to worry about paige. they already sag off KK and will continue to do so if she doesn't get that number up.

TBF, I don't think she's actually a 22% shooter....she just didn't take that shot since it wasn't best for the team. she's probably closer to 30%, but it also makes her much easier to defend.

What it comes down to is the team needs another shooter on the floor for KK to get run, and it's not clear who that is right now.

We have Azzi, Ash and Sarah as 3 point shooters for next year. How many do you want on the court at a time? This past year it was Paige, Azzi and Sarah.

The worry about KK because she doesn't meet some posters standards for point guard is crazy. She was the starting point guard when we only had 7 players. She's not Paige or Kaitlyn. And she shouldn't be. She is KK. She has the talent and the skills to do it. She's a defensive nightmare for opponents and is really good at driving the lane. KK presents different problem for opponents. Ask SC.

This reminds me of the negativity when Nika was running the point. Funny how that worked out. She was DPOY for the BE and owns the school records for assists in a season and career.

I would dare say Geno knows exactly what he has in talent and how it will work. I'm fine with KK running the point.

Maybe Alli ? I think all you need from KK is that she can hit a decent percentage (e.g 40%) of 3 point opportunities when totally unguarded - that way the defense can't totally sag off her and overplay others. Nika was able to get to the point with her slow release that she approached 40% on totally unguarded opportunities (which were the only shots she took). Some boneyarders got all excited that she was a 40% 3 point shooter - not really, not in the same way that you acknowledge AZZI and Paige who were 40% shooters when totally guarded, But that is all you need out of KK, be enough of a threat that they have to guard you (same for Brady, who is more than capable of this). Let the sharpshooters like Azzi, Alli, SS, Ash take most of the 3s. Just make enough to demand some defensive respect. I think KK can do that with a little mor work

I love KK and I think she’s an absolute terror on defense. The one thing about her game absolutely drives me insane is that she will not give up on driving the lane. She runs in there, the defense collapses, and she has no plan on kicking the ball out to the perimeter. She rarely gets the foul and it’s usually a turnover.

KK made a big leap, in my opinion, this year. She was great last year, but she had a huge impact down the stretch. Can’t wait to see what she does next season!!

KK shot 33% (30 of 91) last season. Her 2-point shooting this year improved from 52% to 57%, FT from 67% to 71%.

I’ll be very surprised if KK doesn’t shoot 35% or more from three next season. She clearly wants to be good, wants this to be her team (in terms of being the point guard), and wants to lead this team to another title. I’m feeling pretty good about her, Morgan, and Kelis next season, even if we don’t get any help from the portal this session. I believe KK will be greatly improved, Kelis is very much underrated, and Morgan is eminently capable I‘m not sure how I feel about these reports that we are pursuing Kayleigh Heckel out of the portal.

I was desperately hoping (still am) that we can get Kate Harpring for “26" along with The Big O and Jerzy, Jacy, or Addison! I’m worried that either Geno has received word that Kate is not interested or that his pursuit of Heckel might make her uninterested! However, Geno knows what he’s doing so, all we can do is wait & see. Go Huskies!

KK has immense motivation to up her game this season and next. She wants to make it in the W and that means work. And her coach has her ear and knows how to get her there. She’s got two seasons to shape a portfolio for the draft.

I love KK...but I would be shocked if she DID shoot 35%.

How odd. Olivia Miles was a career 25% 3 point shooter until this season, when she improved to a 40% shooter. It seems perfectly possible to me. Of course, it's really up to KK to put in the work. And she improved from 21% to 33% over her first two seasons.

Edit: oops. Got that backwards. Her 3 pt % dropped from 33 to 21. D'oh! As Roseanne Roseannadanna would say, "Never mind."

Kelly Faris shot over 40% in her senior year after years of 30-something
