Kim's got two at two different schools in two different conferences in just the last five years or so. If you want to win a nattie you can go to where ever she is coaching and have as much chance of winning one as you would playing for Geno.
Km just lost 5 players to the transfer portal, four of them were all of the remaining forwards on the roster. Seems….odd

True, championships won in 2019 and 2023. Great accomplishments. In the other 4 years her teams did not make the Final Fours.

Since that time, over 6 NCAA tournaments, UConn has been to 5 Final Fours, 2 Championship games and won 1 championship. 5 versus 2 leans UConn’s way in terms of getting to the biggest dance.

Yeah……I was just about to say putting her in that same tier as Geno is quite the stretch. She has never even coached any of her teams to consecutive Final Four appearances despite all the talent she’s had.

I assume we'll find out by the end of the weekend if she'll go to LSU...if there is no such announcement, I'll think we should have good chances of getting her.
I mean having their staff putting hundred dollar bills in all of the Easter eggs before Serah's own personal Easter egg hunt is quite a recruiting tool! Kidding! Repeat kidding!.........I think?:)

Look on the bright side. We finally discovered a more creative way to misspell her name
But think of it like this- She has a lot in common with Ms. Quiñónez. Your average Boneyardero doesn't put an acute accent on either name. :p

The BY needs to calm down. For what it’s worth, Serah’s visit to LSU appears to have taken place Thursday & Friday. Her visit to UNC appears to have taken place earlier in the week. That means she either visited UConn during the tournament which would have been during the 1st and 2nd rounds, or she’ll be at Geno’s house tomorrow for Easter brunch.

Was it that long ago that just about everyone on the BY was certain that Sarah was going to SC? Patience Grasshoppers….

Old news and the article was written by LSU homer Zack Nagy. Patience, grasshopper…
I’ve been with the boneyard for a while now and I still can’t handle this whole transfer portal who are we getting and it’s just as bad with recruits coming from high school. I guess I really am a very old grasshopper because it gets me every year. Patience is not my middle name.

You know me.......as the eternal pessimist I'm pretty sure she's not coming to UConn but as I always say.......I'd love to be wrong! really, really wrong!!

Don't point out that the board's spelling czar is asleep at the wheel. :rolleyes:t

Mulkey does not have the same reputation as a coach that Geno enjoys. For a player who is looking to be coached hard to improve her WNBA draft stock, you don't go to LSU. You go there for the $$$.

Considering that UConn's own announcement omitted the acento agudo, it's appropriate that Blanquita is from a place called Milagro, as it would surely take a miracle to have everyone get it right.

Good point. While I am not a fan of Mulkey due to the drama she creates, I have to give her credit for putting up a lot of W's. Rarely do we compete for players since the coaching styles and values are so different.

It’s hard to guess on this. I think, to me, if she goes to LSU, it’s for the best. Means she would not have fit in at UConn.

Several LSU women's basketball players have entered the transfer portal, including Sa'Myah Smith, Aalyah Del Rosario, Last-Tear Poa, and Jersey Wolfenbarger. The team also lost Amani Bartlett.

Here's a more detailed look:
  • Sa'Myah Smith:
A redshirt sophomore, Smith was a key contributor during the NCAA Tournament after battling back from a knee injury, reports Sports Illustrated.

  • Aalyah Del Rosario:
A sophomore forward and former top-10 recruit, Del Rosario struggled to find playing time in her two seasons with LSU, according to NOLA.com.

  • Last-Tear Poa:
A guard who was part of LSU's 2023 national championship team, Poa is seeking one more year of eligibility.

  • Jersey Wolfenbarger:
A 6-5 forward, Wolfenbarger's time with the Tigers ended after one season, says NOLA.com.

  • Amani Bartlett:
A forward who played four seasons at LSU, Bartlett is also entering the transfer portal.

How many times have I seen advice on job search sites for prospective hirees to ask who last held the position they're interviewing for and why that person left? I wonder if Sareh is asking that same question.

Let’s hope her parents or guardians traveling with her are asking all the right questions.

Sarah is in the Transfer Portal herself, so I doubt this question would be asked.
