CL82, there
can be more than one BA. I refer you to a transcription of Kibitzer's 2016 post:
{Kibitzer, October 13, 2016
The season is almost upon us, so get ready to identify our individual badass huskies from game to game. A little refresh a course for old ‘yarders and orientation for our newbies.
- ABY bad ass award is never based on dirty play, poor sportsmanship, (including flopping), selfish play, and other such traits.
- Stats are not the criterion. High score may not* earn this unique BY recognition.
- No honorable mentions, but… Multiple awards are sometimes OK.
- What really counts is tenacity, delivery in the clutch and, most of all, play that breaks the opponents spirit… Causing dagger in the heart, shoulder slumping effect.
- Sanaya was a bad ass versus Maryland for that killer Trey late. Pulido for that shot. Swing cash for her smack down of Doug Gottlieb.
- We never lost a game last year. I’m not comfortable honoring a bad ass. Should we (ever) lose.
- and oh yeah, Stewie earned the most BA awards and only one player earned none.}
*in this case "may not" means "not necessarily", not prohibited (my edit).
I think it would be helpful if TonyC would note Kibitzer's criteria for the BA Award at the beginning of each of his post-game Award postings to eliminate confusion.
