I had the same impression about KK during the TN game because she had 4 turnovers to go along with 4 assists. But when you look at the rest of her game, it was pretty impressive. She lead UConn with 6 steals, while pulling down 3 rebounds and shooting 1/2. All in all, KK was pretty good for not having a good game.KK did not have a good game against Tennessee and this was a definite bounce back game so I would give it to her. I would love to see her play like that every game.
So funny I just commented on that above. She has shot pull ups before but not like the one last night. That was a "for real" jumper.I am giving it to KK because she finally did a pull up jumper from the foul line area similar to what Azzi does when we need a score. If KK can add that and the three-pointer to her arsenal, it will make up for the loss of Azzi next year. I watch 99% of the games and I can't remember the last pull up jumper KK did.

We knew KK can get to the rim. If the pull-up jumper becomes a regular part of her repertoire KK becomes another matchup nightmare for a UConn team that is loaded with matchup nightmares.KK did some things last night that really are "team enhancements" to me. One was that pull up from the foul line. She is so fast off the dribble that it is almost impossible to defend. It causes the defender to back off which allows the offense to be started more freely and for the high post pass to be made. It also just makes for another offensive threat that has to be dealt with. The other was her movement without the ball looking for the ball. K9 does that so well and to see KK do it is just another solid option. You are right though that she can be almost invisible on offense and still be vital because of her defense but I thought last night she made a concerted effort on the offensive end and it would be great to see regularly. Last year you had 4 serious scoring threats on our starting team in KC, Paige, Sarah and Azzi. We have said we want at least 3 this year. That third this year has become a combination of Ash, Allie, K9, Blanca and now KK and at times Serah.
It would be funny if they wheeled her out and only let her loose when she was in the game.Yup - KK for me. They had to put her in a mask to protect DePaul - otherwise there would have been blood everywhere! Her knew nickname is HANNIBAL! 😎
Perfect example of a match up nightmare on her was last year's Final where Chloe Kitts had to guard KK. She blew right by her twice. If you put your PG or fastest player on KK and you have to guard against a 15 footer regularly, you can't leave her to double Azzi. You certainly can't leave Ash, Allie or Blanca to double Azzi, you can't leave Sarah and a post player is not coming out to double team a guard. It's a very big development, as would also be Kayleigh shooting and making her pull up again and also a couple of 3s.We knew KK can get to the rim.
