Blanca again. Another sluggish five opening minutes until the new second unit (Blanca, Jana, Kayleigh) came in and they made a large run.

Good minutes from Jana, who shot well and made some nice passes.

An easy win, but I was apparently so mesmerized, especially in the irksome second half, by the passing dumb-assery, defensive third-classery, tunover crassery, and average en-massery . . . that I fail to recall any splashy badassery.

Despite her turnovers Sarah dominated like a badass. However, Blanca is a future UConn superstar.

FWIW I don't buy the excuse that the sloppiness was due to KK not playing the PG. Many of the turnovers were due to not recognizing that the defender was just waiting to jump into the passing lane. That lack of situational awareness was because KK wasn't on the floor? I don't buy it.

Azzi - the only turnovers she had were the ones she bounced off her own foot. She managed the game, playmaked and still found her own shot.

KK was dearly missed but Azzi was a strong game manager in her absence.

Hate to be a realist here, not really ; ) But my KMBA goes to Erin Batth and the Providence team. They, under sized and obviously over matched never gave up. Gave our girls more turn overs in the first half than given up any game so far this season. Very scrappy defensive team.
Not trying to step out of line here and one of my mottoes is I hate giving credit when its due. Must be holiday cheer beverages.
Very well coached team and I hope they can improve the conference soon.
