First 5 minutes: Serah...the best she has played all season.
Second 5 minutes: Blanca...better control...her height and athleticism are a problem for whoever
"them" is.
Next 20 minutes: Ashlynn...looked comfortable shooting...and Azzi for her defense
Last 10 minutes: what a mess...for both teams

OK, I'm giving my BA vote to Azzi, but not because of her great offensive numbers, but because of her defense. This kid doesn't get enough credit for her defense.

Also, I want to call out Shade for a breakout game (sort of). I expect more in the future. Same with Serah.

In my opinion Blanca is the most entertaining player on the Huskies. What a find! Needs, deserves more minutes.

My badass award goes to Azzi. She had a tough assignment of guarding Jazzy Davidson and she locked her down. Blanca is showing game by game she is a force to be reckoned with.

How fortunate are we that we have a legit 2-4 players who could be our badass award winner!!!

Since her very first (turnover prone) games, I've thought Blanca is our best athlete, and I am still thinking that after the USC game... And, she's only a freshman!!!! What the heck is her ceiling gonna look like if she keeps improving over 4 years at UConn (as I'm sure Geno will demand of her...) - WOW, hold on...

Doesn't need to be from 1 player. 2 or 3 minutes from 2 or 3 players and she's up to just about starter minutes. It's going to happen. I posted (I don't remember the thread) a few weeks ago that Blanca is the next UConn superstar. And I certainly haven't seen anything to change my opinion.

K-9! Not cuz Kayleigh was the best player but she got beat up the whole time she was on the court. The USC players kept pushing and fouling her (very few were called) and when she went into the paint really tried to put a hurt on her.
But she kept coming and didnt let any of that scare her away and finally got her a bucket with a great up and under move with air time that would make Michael Jordon take notice.
Nope, not the best player tonight but when the whole USC team was trying to stop her from scoring she got her points. Thats being a bad ass.

Trading baskets for 6-1/2 minutes, then Blanca comes in and scores 6 straight. She changed the whole complexion of the game.

A lot of legitimate contenders for BA this game. I'm going with Ash on the strength of one play. Someone, Q I think, is a bit inside the 3 arc, looking here and there to find someone to pass to. She was looking like a quarterback who has gone through all their progressions, no one is open and several large people are closing in. A turnover looked to be in the offering. Until, charging through the crowd of USC and UConn players, Ash, hair flying as usual, appeared to take the ball. Shooters shoot, hustlers hustle.
