Caroline.
I agree with you 1000% When Caroline made her first 3 shot, I jumped up, clapping like she just won the game. I posted earlier that give a little time Caroline would be a contributor. 6 rebounds wasn't shabby either. I hope GENO sees what I see. GO CAROLINE!!!!!GO GO GO HUSKIES!!!!!!There are many forms of BA-ery. And there certainly were in this game.
Five points on 2-2, 1-1 shooting with six rebounds and two assists in 10 minutes of play (plus another 3pt shot taken away because of a foul) . . . after being out for almost two years with concussion protocols and chronic head and neck problems . . . more than qualifies.
Caroline.
I understand where you are coming from, but is it fair to discount Sarah simply because she's the best player on the court and working her BA off the whole time she's on the court?Strong is and probably be the best player on the court in every game UConn plays this season (just like Paige last season) and will be the Badass practically every game so I'm going with K9. She has been so impressive on both defense and offense.
(I don't want to stray too far away from the BA Award (There's great arguments for K9, Caroline and Allie) but since you bring up Sarah's rebounding we all just have to admire Sarah as one of the greatest women's basketball talents playing at the college level today. Her rebounding comes from a natural knowledge of where and how to position herself not when the ball careens off the backboard or rim but before that when the ball leaves a shooters hands. Amazes me too.)The part of Sarah’s game that amazes me the most is her rebounding. How does she do it so well?
Every game we witness one of the best women's basketball players playing the game today. Lucky us.I understand where you are coming from, but is it fair to discount Sarah simply because she's the best player on the court and working her BA off the whole time she's on the court?
I don't mean to pick on any one player but if someone like K9 put up Sarah's numbers we would be all adither. But Sarah putting up Sarah's numbers, it's like "so what". Is that fair?
if i were a USC fan, i'd be outraged and disgusted the trojans were unable to retain her services. horrible, just horrible! HUGE mistake. ... since i am not a fan of any LA-based team and a huskies backer, i am very grateful.(I don't want to stray too far away from the BA Award (There's great arguments for K9, Caroline and Allie) ....
Now as far as the BA award, I have to give it to K9. She is intelligent with a high b-ball IQ, has assimilated into the UConn offense seamlessly and acts like she's been here at least three years, She is showing a tremendous talent as a PG and her defense is stifling.
I agree 100%. Anyone who strived to be a good rebounder knows that you have to be in the best possible position before the ball goes up. After the ball is in the air, you might be late to the party.(I don't want to stray too far away from the BA Award (There's great arguments for K9, Caroline and Allie) but since you bring up Sarah's rebounding we all just have to admire Sarah as one of the greatest women's basketball talents playing at the college level today. Maybe the Seminole player would agree that Allie is the badass. This is my choice for this game. Allie was all over the place. View attachment 113120
