Kibitzer Memorial Badass Award

Do you think there’s a more disliked person in South Carolina than Azzi Fudd right now?

Azzi’s scoring, and early steals, once again set the tone. Sarah‘s rebounding and all around game was the difference in the game. I am not choosing between those two BA’s!

You know what? Paige freakin' Bueckers is my bad ass. She deserves every accolade under the sun and to perform like she did and LEAD the team like she did - she's a badass forever!!

All eyes were on her. All the pressure on her. All the defensive schemes were to slow or stop her. And yet like the great Diana Taurasi before her, helped LEAD her team in spite of the weight on top of her. OMG what a game.
 
I’ll break my policy and nominate Paige for badass. She didn’t try to dominate the scoring. She dominated everything else in the way she always does. Doing whatever it takes to make your team win is the ultimate badassery.

I SAY the whole team IS THE BADASS. With special honors to the BIG 3. Fantastic game, The best part for me was the looks on Dawn's face through out the game. They were priceless. GO HUSKIES!!!!!! Now Uconn gets ready for NO13!!!!

Boy, so many good nominees. KK's in your face defense always makes her a potential nominee. Page being Paige, an incredible leader, great defender, and great score weather from behind the arc or pull up for a mid range. Then there's the MOP. Azzi came back from injury and kept getting better and better this season. In this game, she fearlessly took shot after shot putting the team on her back in the first half.

But, for this final game of the season, I have to go with Sarah Strong, our fearless freshman. Yeah, she got a NCAA finals double double with 24 points and 15 rebounds, but then she filled out the rest of the stat she with two steals and five assists. When a 19-year-old woman can play such a complete game under such stressful circumstances in her first postseason in college, that, my friends, is extraordinarily badass. We are lucky to have her.

As Old Dude sorta said above, it goes against my nature to give a multiple award, but I absolutely agree with you. First half, Azzi all the way. Second half, Sarah came alive, Paige willed her team on (getting knocked down several times, including one that put my heart in my throat). At one point, when the rebounding wasn't going well, I kept yelling "Put Shade in!" And she went in and while she only got a couple of rebounds, she disrupted the boards (as usual) a lot more than the box score could indicate. And KK came alive and repeatedly got to the basket.

TEAM here including the bench that was totally wild supporting those on the floor. There was a lot of Badass to go around today.
A BA tip of the cap to Geno for his time out when SC made back to back baskets and building momentum. I told the better half one more and I use a time out. Geno called it even sooner.
Dawn left all four time outs on the table, must of thought she could save them for next season? ;)
 
Tonyc reminds me of Andy Dufresne from Shawshank Redemption. He always had "Hope" He made it!!

While everyone on the team was amazing and a BA...if i have to choose one it is Sarah Strong! i don't know that I've ever seen a freshmen perform like this in the biggest game of her young career! The scoring, the rebounds, the basketball iq, the composure under pressure, just amazing!!!
