Kibitzer Memorial Badass Award

So many choices today. Kaitlyn Chen was dynamic driving in the lane. (6-9 for 15). Thankfully Azzi woke up with a couple big threes late. Aubrey, who hasn’t played in several games gave some much needed energy when it was desperately needed.

Paige was Paige with 31 points, tying her own UConn record with three consecutive 30 point games.

In the coin toss, Sarah with 22 points, 17 rebounds and great defense on USC’s Iriafen (with only 1 foul) gets my vote for the BA of the day.

K Chen - not that she wasn't before, but Chen with 15 points on 6 of 9 shooting, 2 assists, 0 turnovers is a forever Husky!:D

KC our BadAss.

Great games from Paige and Sarah.

When game got tight, Aubrey (2 reb & steal) and Azzi (2 x 3)stepped up to reopen the lead!

Totally get picking Kaitlyn. If I remember correctly their were 2 key points in the game where she took the load and delivered.

However. . . I’m nominating

Sarah

At a crucial point in the fourth quarter, coach calls for a timeout to set up a play. Pretty simple choice, right? There's the POY standing right next to you, ready to go. "During the timeout, I took a hunch and I ran with it." He picks Azzi, who as we all know has not been hitting them in this game, to take the shot. Swish. Geno Auriemma is badass.

Kaitlyn, no question. She scored a bunch, but badassery is not about stats. It’s about standing up to be counted when it really matters. And Kaitlyn did exactly that last night. All but one of her buckets was tough, in your face basketball. And on the one ‘easy’ one she sprinted the floor to get open like she was a cheetah chasing a gazelle. I’m sure that gave the Trojans pause. Badass.
