Ash…I would have been in the ER after that hit.
You forgot to add ND to the loss column, that made it even nicer.Well gotta give it to Ms Bueckers. But it was nice to have Shade show up today with Fudd and Strong off a bit.
What was really nice was UCONN winning and TN losing on the same day.
PLUS an early foul on beers ... horrendous failure in reffingYou forgot to add ND to the loss column, that made it even nicer.
I'm going with Paige, she was fouled hard in the first quarter after making a three by Beers and Dee Kanter just stood there without calling it. Both of the announcers stated that it was a hard foul and should have been an and 1 on top of the made three pointer.
Honorable mention goes to Ash, at least the foul was called on Oklahoma on that play.
Ashlynn gets " extra credit " as Honorable Mention "BADASS" for just getting upAshlynn, for taking the shot from Beers. Looked like something from WWF.
Paige was unbelievable, though
That the longest BadAss nomination I have ever seen…So here's why Paige (aside from the nod from Mrs. Kibitzer)...
I forget the exact definition of it on the BY, but according to the urban dictionary:
bad·ass
/ˈbadˌas/
informal • North American
noun
a tough, uncompromising, or intimidating person.
The team wasn't shooting well, aside from Ash. Oklahoma punched back and got up 4 at halftime. Paige gave her teammates plenty of chances to score and contribute, but when it seemed clear none of that was happening, she took on all the responsibility herself.
Sure we continued to play great defense, but on offense, with the OK defense staying put around the basket, Paige was able to operate around screens all 2nd half and nail jumper after jumper. Oh, and her 3 point shot was en fuego as well...
Ash is tough as nails. Sarah was very instrumental in limiting Beers (with lots of help side defense by Ash and KK), but Paige saw what was needed, put the team on her shoulders, and gave one of the best performances of her career...
