Blessings, Kib, and all the best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Haven't had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Kib but I thoroughly enjoy reading his witty posts. GET WELL SOON!!! We need you here!

Get well, Kib.
If you do go the replacement route, maybe all your years as a dedicated fan can get you a chance to rehab in Storrs.

Kib has an infection in his knee and will be laid up for a few days. I spoke to Mrs Kib and she said he might need a knee replacement. Im sure he would enjoy updates from the Boneyard so if you want to connect with him, let me know and I'll put you in touch with him.

(edited by HuskyNan to take out phone number and address. Please contact Tony via PM to get this personal information)
Best wishes, Kib, we miss you around here.

Get well soon, Kib - if you do end up replacing the knee, the off-season is the time to do it so you can be at full strength and full mobility for the upcoming season!!

Get well soon Kibitzer.

He's a tough guy. Anyone want to bet that he doesn't beat rehab schedule?

Best wishes and prayers for your speedy recovery, Kib! And also good wishes to Mrs. Kib, who will keep him on the straight path all the way!

DON'T PAY THE RANSOM! I ESCAPED!

Seriously, thank you one and all for your thoughtful and supportive comments.

Second, after four days of intensive studies and discussions (nothing like hearing both the first and second medical opinions simultaneously), it was decided that I would forego knee replacement (been there and done that in 2008) and take my chances fighting the bacteria strains with antibiotics.

So I'll ride in the Memorial Day parade with a young man who just got accepted by the USMA, attend the D-Day ceremony at West Point to honor General Gavin, then attend a banquet honoring outstanding regional HS seniors that evening. Then count the days to First Night, launching yet another NC season.

Meanwhile, I will hover over my PC and be as snarky as ever.

Thanks again. You have all reminded me how special it is to be a Boneyarder.

Dear General Snarkiness,
Glad to hear that you are taking it easy! Stay hydrated (with water!), take your meds, and remember that the Boneyard needs you!

And I would like to repeat my compliment about your avatar. It's terrific!

I hope the docs prescribed the appropriate joint lubricant and whole body pain reliever.

Get well Buddy. Truth be told, I was afraid to open the thread for fear of reading unbearably sad news.

Hey Kib...you need to get well...we got another championship to win... Let's go Mrs. Kib...get him up and going.

Sounds good! Hope CheeseDanish is playing a jig on her violin.
