Nice to see her get her due from Rebecca and Cara at halftime. She is the secret weapon that destroyed Texas' game plan. Her blocks are works of art... and she never gives up on a rebound. I hope someone puts a highlight video together of her work this season.

she was key in making the UT offense sputter in the first half which started The Insurmountable Run Shot blocker - game changer, that's Kiah
I've said on a number of occasions and I know I'm not alone, that Kiah will be missed very much next year. Over her career, her defensive influence has fed sooooooo many UConn runs and I think it is often overlooked because she typically isn't putting the ball in the hoop on the other side. Then too, Geno has often not utilized her for great lengths of time because of her perceived lack of aggression. Her blocked shots per minute played are totally through the roof and easily would be records if that stat was utilized. That goes along with her rebounds per minute played numbers which are quite impressive. She always seems to be so even keeled and I've gotten a great deal of joy in watching her perform. Easily one of my favorite Huskies of all time. I doubt that there will ever be another one like her.

Absolutely right! She had a great game - weird saying that about someone who scores only 4 points even if she did shoot 100%!

Kiah always seems to play best when the team actually NEEDS her. She was terrific! Even on the offensive end, with her in the game no she didn't score but it helped with spacing as one of their bigs needed to guard her it opened everything up for the other players (Stewie)..plus she sets good screens for others.
Defensively I can't get enough watching her, one of the best I've ever seen. I really hope and think she deserves to win defensive player of the year but worried she won't get it because of her low minutes.

I think that she will definitely have a WNBA career (if she wants it) because of her superb defensive ability. Her timing in blocking shots is probably comparable to Bill Russell and was there ever anyone better than him????? It's likely that her offensive numbers will improve in the WNBA because of the style defense she'd be playing against.

Yes Kiah will have an WNBA career. She is very athletic and will be a true asset to any wnba team. Her timing on blocking shots is incredible. And she is a total team player leaving her ego at the door. Great game Kiah!

Officially credited with 4 blocks... that seems low. I think I remember the play by play saying she had 6. (?) Guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and re-watch the whole game to count them up.

Kiah was nothing short of phenomenal on the D when she first came in. Texas was NOT going to win this game, but Kiah's play was a significant reason it became a 50 point win. She swatted any shred of optimism that Texas may have had into the 5th row.

Her opponents will be bigger, faster, and stronger at the next level and the physicality can be ridiculous. I think people in general under estimate the difference. Kiah, may have a tough go making a significant contribution to a WNBA squad without developing a consistent offensive game. Her advantage is her 6'3" size. Coaches love that kind of size in the W. Her best bet might be a talented, veteran squad that can afford to spend a roster spot on a defensive specialist. As much as I'd love to see her stay in CT, the Sun is probably not best place for her, or her the best for them.

Minny!! Please God let her go to the Lynx!! Maya will kick her ass in practice and she can give good defensive minutes off the bench in her first season for a team that has a pretty good amount of structure , which I think she needs. I don't see Kiah doing as well for a run and gun squad that lacks any real structure.

When I said "talented, veteran squad" I was thinking of the Lynx.

She had about 6. The two-handed block was ruled a tie-up. I am not sure what's up with the stats, but she been cheated by about 2 blocks in almost every game all season

Lobo had a nice story about watching Geno go hard at Kiah in practice the other day, and her responding and upping her play. It sure paid off today. The stats don't do justice to her impact today.
