Well we do need a 5 so unless a miracle happens in the coming months the JUCO route makes sense when it comes to filling a hole quickly. How old is he?

Well, someone has to check out the story of Leaving VT twice. And a respected coach. Otherwise, I have no interest in another Cobb.

as we know, as soon as the UConn plane landed all the coaches went out recruiting.

This is where Kimani was on Wednesday:

Dan Hurley and assistant Kimani Young made the half-hour drive straight from the airport to Montverde Academy on Wednesday night to meet with [Precious] Achiuwa, a 6-9, five-star power forward, and his coach, Kevin Boyle.

I don't know - he seem a little hesitant in his moves on the blocks.
Oh, wait. That's not him, it's all our current bigs.
Sorry.
Yes. He looks like a potentially great get.
If he can qualify, sign him.

I'm not sure but I think Kevin Boyle and Hurley have crossed paths coaching against each other?

Kimani follows him and his coach. He plays at Daytona State in Florida (transferred from Virginia Tech).

Daytona State just so happened to have a game at College of Central Florida on the 30th (same day when UConn arrived in Florida for the UCF game) and as we know, as soon as the UConn plane landed all the coaches went out recruiting.

Daytona State lists him as 6'10" 245 and he's averaging 17 points and 9 rebounds a game.

I think Dave Borges mentioned in his article the other day that Hurley went to see Precious when they landed, and Tom Moore went out recruiting but it was not known who he went to see. I think we may have found out...

Knows how to carve out space, and get good position low. Also, Johnnie Selvie-ish once he has the ball; it's not coming back out; he's going up with a shot.
