... just before the and one by the Baylor player... Baylor better WAKE UP... They'reabout to get run off the floor with their not so urgent play... Kentucky's way too good for them to play like that...

It's honestly not even fair how good they are. If Cal doesn't win it this year, he may never.

When Jones is focused and engaged, UK becomes unbeatable.

They look ridiculously good right now. I agree that Jones is the key, when he's engaged and playing well they are unstoppable. You know Gilchrist and Davis will bring it with Jones playing great as the 3rd guy they become absurdly good.

They just make it look soo easy on offense and they play so tough on Defense, Baylor cant get an open look at all.

I think its safe to say this tourney has become the uk invitational. its their tournament to win as i dont see any team in there league right now. they remind me of that 2004 uconn team when by the time they got to the elite 8 it was pretty obvious that they were clearly the best team in the country and would win it all. i remember bob ryan of the boston globe reffering to that tourney as the uconn invitational. this is a great uk team and they should win it but if they dont i think itll be a huge indictment on squids coaching ability. hes as good as anybody at molding talent and getting them to play together but can he coach his way to a victory in a close game where every decision you make in the final minutes can make or break you?

Yes, thank the lord for 1 and done...would have loved a crack at KY last week (with our 2004 team). The squid has a near perfect team...KY vs a full strength UNC would be a heck of a game.

I picked Baylor as an early tournament exit months ago. They almost lost in the first round to a 14 seed. Then their 6 seed lost so they got the 11 seed. And the 2 seed lost to the 10 seed. They were served the Elite 8 on a platter.

Are those kids on the team?

Do Terrence Jones or Doron Lamb or Brandon Knight go to UK when they have to compete with John Wall-Eric Bledsoe-Demarcus Cousins-Daniel Orton?

They don't have the scholarships, and the kids who want to play, can't.

So instead they go elsewhere. Maybe that UK team is even better (2009 was a great team--although they lose Paterson who was a very good player for them).

Meanwhile, Jones stays at Washington, and perhaps last years UConn team has Brandon Knight and Doron Lamb on top of Jeremy and others. Now, do I want that? No, wouldn't trade the title. But that talent gets spread out.

So then those guys from UK go pro, and they get Davis-MKG-Teague (do they get Davis? Kanter is still here, as he was only suspended for a year, I thought), but without Jones or Lamb they aren't as good.

And UConn's starting Knight-Lamb-Lamb-AO-Drummond.

People keep top talent for another year, but that other talent gets spread out.

I have already come to accept the fact that UK is going to win it all, it is what it is. On the positive side Baylor loses their chance at winning dual national championships, no mens/womens teams have even made the FF in the same year since 04, Uconn has done that 3 times in 04 of course, 09, and 11.

He starts, he's just very passive and when it's needed he doesn't get inviolved like he should, he's kind of like Jeremy in a sense in his passive and laidback demeanor.

Crazy how soft he is... Very talented but so timid and lackadaisical. I honestly thought he would give Davis/Jones fits.

Two lottery picks just may have injured themselves.

Looking at the replay, it looks like the knee buckled to the medial side, rather than the anterior side. Of course, I'm not doctor and that observation may mean nothing.

He is a lot more skilled tho, that's why I made the comparison to Jeremy even tho they play diff
positions(tho PJIII sees himself as a perimeter player also). When you see Acy competing and playing as hard as he is it just shows the issues with PJIII even more. On another note, funny to see Gary Franklin just getting into the game when he left Cal because he felt he wasn't getting enough shots, even though he was their leading scorer.

He is like Drummond pretty much.

I was speaking more about this year since posters were clamoring for the 2 year rule with the new CBA that was signed this year.

I don't understand why they didn't try to drag Davis away from the hoop more early in the game and take him off the dribble. Regardless of how quick he is, no big likes to guard someone on the perimeter. The two times they've made him play perimeter D Baylor has drawn fouls. Easier said than done for sure, but UK is a totally different team with him out.

Understood. UK would benefit immensely more than any other school with such a policy.

They have the best center in the country, allowing the rest of the team to take risks and play loose. Davis is a stud, with more weight and conditioning he will be similar to a Ewing type of player. Very impressed with him.

You can't even compare Drummond to him at this point. In fact I used to think that Drummond had the higher ceiling but I'm am not so sure. Both will be special in a few years, Drummond has some catching up to do, even though he may be the higher pick.
