Kentucky should be one of the Top 4 teams in the country and should make it to the Final Four if they get a #1 seed.

"Final Four-caliber" and "Dream Team" are not equivalent. Good gravy.

Once and for all, a very common error by the writer of the linked piece.

He mentions a new point guard taking over the "reigns."

He should have said "reins," as in control of the offense.

Queen Elizabeth reigns. Cowboys, stagecoach drivers and point guards hold reins, literally or figuratively.

Boneyarders, be careful when using that unnecessary "g."

.
Geno thinks we're crazy. I wonder what he'd say about the author of this piece of fluff?

I would love to meet their 'Dream Team' in the Elite 8.....we'll bounce them out of the tourney and give them plenty of time to catch some zzzzz's on the bus home..

.-.
I seriously doubt that they are a top four team. Baylor, UCONN, and Duke are the top three teams in that order. Kentucky would have to beat out Maryland, Stanford, Louisville, Notre Dame, and possibly Penn State for the fourth spot.

Two of the top 4 will be Baylor and UConn that is a near certainty. That leaves two spots, and there are a number of teams that will be fighting for those two spots, including Stanford, ND, KY, Duke, and several others. KY will need a very favorable draw and a lot of luck to beat out Stanford, Duke and ND.

The linked piece is not worth reading if one wants a realistic picture of KY. It's really little more than garbage.

Despite the hyperbole, the SEC should be intriguing next season. Kentucky, A&M, and Tennessee by themselves will be really interesting.

Don't leave out Vanderbilt. They return all of their top player next year, and they beat TN last year.

oh to witness tenn lose to former also-rans in its own conference is going to be delicious!!!!

Agree and don't forget aTm. i'm not sure how good their seniors are, but their junior class was rated #7 by ASGR, their sophomore class #5, and their incoming freshman class #2 behind only UCONN.

and as a side note, Kentucky gave UCONN a good game last year. IIRC we won by about 15 but Kentucky hung in there for much of the game. they should be improved this year. final 4 calibur? unlikely, but that's why you play the games. aside from Connboy's correct (IMHO) top 3, there's not a "lock" for the 4th spot...

Any team that can beat Tennessee is A-OK by me. Hoping to see them with 10+ losses next year.

That's mainly plain, except Juan Carlos’ rain in Spain.
:)

Did you see the poll that accompanied the article? There were 4 options available to voters to predict the UK season, and the least optimistic was the Elite Eight, yet that was the most popular choice. I guess the people that frequent the Kentucky site are not drinking the same Koolaid as the author of the article. Seems like the writer was an overly optimistic student/fan or it's a PR fluff piece to sell tickets and generate interest in the program. Telling quote: "I heard that the women's ticket prices were going up slightly along with the men's. Guess what folks? If they doubled from last year, it would still be a bargain to watch this kind of talent in Memorial."

With all due respect. There are alot of good teams next season. Alot of teams with high hopes until they meet UConn. As great as other teams are , with their talent, and with there stars, there is only one UConn and UConn will erase all hopes.

I think Vandy will be better than A&M and Tenn. 'Dores return all 5 starters.
