Kemba Walker...

I love Kemba and I can't wait to see him in a bigger market on a team with championship aspirations

But he's not going to be a hall of famer, come on.

Exactly.

Sportsmanship awards, 20 ppg consistently is very nice stuff. Mad props on being the 3rd injury replacement in the ASG. Really good stuff here. College career is amazing BUT until he gets his team into the playoffs consistently (not difficult to do in the east yet he can't seem to do it) he's not in the conversation...Unless of course you're on the boneyard.

His best teammate in his career has been Batum, at best a 3rd option on an okay team.

Batum was player of the week back in 2015. Good enough for the HOF according to the boneyard.

Way to be a drama queen, saying its possible doesn't mean its gonna happen,no one said he will just that its possible.

This is peak offseason boneyard. Some of you have lost your mind. Kemba is a UConn legend, and I love the guy. Has he made a single all-NBA team? He barely sniffs all start teams. He's not making the Hall of Fame. Come on. Yes, he's a borderline all start for an awful team and he holds some of their franchise records. And? Barring a miracle pairing with a team that wins him four or five championships or some gigantic jump in play, he's not even going to come close. If you can legitimately argue if he's a top ten player at his position currently, you can safely exclude the guy from Springfield.

As remarkable as that 11 game run was in 2011, Walker is not a Hall of Famer.

Laettner had a much more prolific college career and he is not a Hall of Famer (Sure, he was on the Dream Team, but every one of the other eleven members of that team are HOFers in their own right.) Roughly 90% of HoFer were remarkable in college. They distinguish themselves as professionals.

I’m not saying Kemba is a HOFer by any stretch, but Laettner had like 3 healthy seasons in his prime.

I am 100% serious that if Kemba keeps playing well he is worthy of Hall of Fame consideration. Not a lock, but certainly worthy of consideration. Rebecca Lobo is in, and his resume is already at least as impressive as hers. He holds the Hornets all time team records for points scored, 3 point field goals made and free throws made, and he is only about halfway through his NBA career provided he stays healthy.

Lobo is in as a broadcaster

Don't buy it, unless you're saying his prime was post age 30. By year, Laettner's games played were 81, 70, 81, 74, 82, 74, 16, 82, 78, 57, 76, 48 (age 34), 49 (35). A bigger reason is that he couldn't live up to the expectations set by being the college Dream Teamer over Shaq or by comparison to #1 (Shaq) and #2 (Mourning), both of whom ended up being HoFers.

According to Basketball Reference, Kemba has a 1.52% chance of being a HoFer as a player.

To put that in perspective, DeMar Derozan is at 5.82%, Rajon Rondo (who was a 4x All Star by his 27 YO season) is at 40.68%, and Kyrie Irving (same draft) is at 36.41%.

Yeah but they don't have a sportsmanship award!!!! Right guys. lol @Scoe @Huskybass

@Scoe @Huskybass are so triggered right now. The title should be "Interview with two-time all star and future hall of famer Kemba Walker.
In your exuberance to keep a false narrative alive you forgot your closing quotation mark. A pity. Maybe when you quadruple down (Peter Pan, Danny Granger, Batum) next time, you'll break the internet.

A few pages ago, someone well-meaning asked, "Are people really thinking that Kemba's going into the HoF?" The answer then, as now, was, "No," but the suggestion was floated not to bet against it.

You've been feeding and watering the notion that the OP then or throughout this thread overreached on the matter. We get it. You can't read. Otherwise, you've got a winner.
