I am 100% serious that if Kemba keeps playing well he is worthy of Hall of Fame consideration. Not a lock, but certainly worthy of consideration. Rebecca Lobo is in, and his resume is already at least as impressive as hers. He holds the Hornets all time team records for points scored, 3 point field goals made and free throws made, and he is only about halfway through his NBA career provided he stays healthy.

He hasn’t won a playoff series or made an all nba team.

Already heard the talk of him to LA next year on several shows. Lebron will need his kind of help. Lebron would love some Kemba. Hope LA can figure it out. I’m a Celtics fan but would LOVE to see this happen.

Yuck, I would not. If Kyrie leaves he can come to the Cs.

People here think Kemba has a HOF resume? You couldn't find anyone outside UConn nation that wouldn't laugh you out of the room for that opinion.

Not yet, but if he continues to perform at the level he has over the past 2 years he has a legit shot. His MOP of the final 4 counts, his all star appearances count, his sportsmanship awards count, the fact that he is the all time leading scorer for a franchise counts. Plus, he is Kemba Walker and has many good years ahead of him. Don't bet against him.

Kemba was like the 3rd injury replacement for the all star game. He’s a Danny Granger. The HOF talk is beyond ridiculous

You can't compare Kemba with Lobo regarding the HOF. Their college careers were similar in that both of them didn't become dominant players at that level until their junior years. Lobo didn't make the HOF solely based on her playing career. She made it for her overall contribution to the women's game.

She's generally recognized for putting the women's game on the map for the first time after the 1995 undefeated season. She's considered a catalyst for the formation of the WNBA. Her pro playing career was pretty much a disaster, and cut short due to injuries. She made the HOF for her contribution to the overall women's game. Kemba has nothing like that. He'll have to play his way in as a pro. He could, but it's way too early to expect anything like that for him.

Its not out of the realm of possibility HOF is unlikey but HOF talk isn't ridiculous, if its possible its not ridiculous, whats ridiculous is saying its beyond ridiculous which makes what you just said beyond ridiculous. Kemba is 28 righ now so the next 5-7 years are critical for his HOF chances.

Was listening to Boston sports talk radio yesterday. Concern in boston is Kylie going to knicks last year. In the course of the conversation, the announcers mentioned that Kemba is the backup target for the knicks if Kylie falls through. Said that was coming from a knick insider ...so take for what it's worth...

Not sure the validity, but is scenario played out, being in a big market helps his exposure. Big help to his legacy if he was able to make knicks relevant again

He needs 5-7 HOF seasons after having 0 HOF seasons. It’s possible, highly unlikely. You can start a thread like this for any NBA player.

You really have no idea what you are talking about. Kemba has averaged over 20 ppg for the past 3 seasons, is the all time leadong scorer for his franchise, was the MOP of the Final 4, has won 2 NBA sportsmanship awards and has more than half his pro career left to play. To think that he doesnt have a legit shot at the hall of fame is silly, especially if he moves to a larger market and has some post season success.

If Chauncey Billups gets in then Kemba has a shot, people confuse hall fame with all-time great.

0 HOF seasons wtf, the HOF is measured on whole body of work. If Kemba averages around the same numbers make some more all-star games he has a shot Mo Cheeks is in, Billups will probably get in, Kemba has a shot.

I wasn’t aware the NBA had a HOF
Springfield isn’t Canton totally owned by the NFL ,and Kemba is a local legend.
so never say never.
His runs, first in the Big East Tournment and then the NCAA stand out as two of the greatest achievements in Basketball history .
Guys like Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson ,and Wilt were HOFers without ever playing a single pro game. In fact you can say it’s their fame that made the NBA popular not the other way around.
Kembas’ achievement is the kind of stuff that should be immortalized in a Hall on inspiration alone.
PS
A true football HOF belongs in Connecticut the place were the game was invented.
Someone I know described rugby as disorganized American football ,well if that’s true , the guy who organized it was born in New Britain ,and came up with the idea as a Yale student.

I love Kemba and I can't wait to see him in a bigger market on a team with championship aspirations

But he's not going to be a hall of famer, come on.
