I'm sure this is hanging at the Louvre.

Every time I think about or watch a video of his accomplishments it puts a big smile on my face … his energy was infectious and he has the heart of a lion, retirement well deserved.

Thank you.

Thanks for the memories Kemba

The step back game winner in the 2011 BET vs Pitt in the quarterfinals will forever be one of my favorites

The always positive attitude and infectious smile will be missed. What are the thoughts on coaching?
Along with his great skill I enjoyed that smile and great attitude. I will never forget driving by Gampel one Saturday after practice and seeing Kemba with that great smile. I wish him great success in his future endeavors.

Should make the Hall of Fame when you consider his college and NBA careers combined. What he did at UConn was legendary. 4 time NBA all-star. It's too bad injuries derailed his prime.
NBA HOF is more a of hall of really good but even so I don't believe he should be in the HOF

Now that its official.. Would be great to see him back on campus once in awhile interacting with our current players. One of the iconic guards to come out of Guard U. Has a lot of wisdom to share with the young guys.
Guard U?

How about Everything U?

First we were Wing U (Marshall, Allen, Hamilton, Butler).

Then we were Big Man U (Okafor, Villanueva, Boone, Armstrong, Thabeet).

Then we were Guard U (Kemba, Shabazz).

But yes, it'd be great to have him around.

Coach Calhoun stated on WFAN ( a few years back) with Mike that his two favorite players were Kemba and Reggie Lewis. Both loved to practice and Kemba had an incredible love of the game.

So many greats, and my all-time favorite has often vacillated. But I think Kemba is our greatest Husky.
Especially when you consider how young his team was. He took charge and lead them to three tournament championships and no losses outside the league while the freshmen played (if I recall correctly) about 60% of the team's minutes.

really miss that era of college hoops when players stood out, now in this sneaker era pretty much everyone has the same "team edition" of a pro player's signature model. if you look at the sneaker IG pages whenever they do a throwback/classic post of college teams it's always UConn and Arizona players being featured for their style.

For as much as the 2006 team fell short of their potential. Them and Rudy Gay was probably the most popular team in UConn’s history. Kids used to always point to Rudy as to why they liked UConn.

Not likely. If he had a better run in Boston and was the Jrue Holliday piece of this year’s team I’d say yes. He just fizzled too hard at the end

Just got a notice to this.
