I can't say he is my "all-time favorite husky" because there are so many who have come through this program that I feel have illustrated so much that is good about the team, the university, college basketball and life in general.

That having been said... what Kemba did that whole year of 2010-2011, beginning out in Maui with his tour de force 3-game performance there (I still remember Squid's face as he was shocked by the beat down we gave his boys in that Maui championship game) culminating in the most incredible 11-game stretch that college basketball has ever seen or will ever see will always hold a special place in my heart. The way he played in that Saturday night Big East Championship game against Louisville in the 5th game in 5 days is forever etched into my memory. His indomitable spirit, boundless enthusiasm and unbreakable will embodied everything that is good about collegiate sports.

Thank you Kemba! for being a great player, and an even better ambassador for yourself, your family, our program, our school, and all of basketball!!! I agree with @Umami Zen and would love to see him somehow back involved with the program, if he has any desire to do so in the future.

Should make the Hall of Fame when you consider his college and NBA careers combined. What he did at UConn was legendary. 4 time NBA all-star. It's too bad injuries derailed his prime.

Thank you to the man who got me invested in UConn athletics all those years ago.

Congrats Kemba. Favorite Husky of all-time. Don’t know if there’s been a player that played as great as he did during 2010-2011 in cbb history.

He truly made the impossible happen that year. Legend.

Happy trails, Kemba! I still hear Mcghee's ankles snapping.

The always positive attitude and infectious smile will be missed. What are the thoughts on coaching?

I would have to say his 2011 performances
was probably the best ever of a single guy elevating a bunch of kids to achieve something well beyond their capabilities
We had a couple of guys in my lifetime who have done that like , Tony Hanson , but he is the only one who brought a NC .
That’s not a knock on any player from a Championship team who had great performance however you can point to a better more experienced supporting cast in every other case . 2011 was owned by Kemba .
Thanks for Memories Carfiac Kemba
