Awesome!

A friend and I have had a bet going since the 2011 draft. He was adamant that Brandon Knight would have a better career than Kemba. Obviously I was heated and took the bet, so far they have been neck and neck this season. Can not wait to shove this news in his face!!

Knight is good but what seperates Kemba is how clutch he is, his clutchness has transferred over to the NBA.

52, 9 and 8 today vs UITAH. Plus a couple steals for good measure.

Captain Obvious talking here, but it's really duck*ing hard to score 52 points in an NBA game. Does anybody know if any of our alums, besides Ray, have done that?

That's the third most points scored in an NBA game this season (Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry both had 53).

ADimeBack on Twitter said Rip, Ray and Cliff were the only other UConn alums to score 50+ points.

I remember watching Charlie V score 50, looked it up and he had 48.

Kemba's game today ranks as the second highest scoring output by a UConn alum in the NBA. Here's the rest of the top 20:

1) Ray Allen: 54 points, Box Score (1/12/07)
2) Kemba Walker: 52 points, Box Score (1/18/16)
3) Richard Hamilton: 51 points, Box Score (12/27/06)
4) Cliff Robinson: 50 points, Box Score (1/16/00)
T-5) Ben Gordon: 48 points, Box Score (3/4/07)
T-5) Charlie Villanueva: 48 points, Box Score (3/26/06; Same day we lost to George Mason. Charlie V would've been a Junior)
7) Ray Allen: 47 points, Box Score (4/14/02)
8) Ben Gordon: 45 points, Box Score (3/21/12)
T-9) Ray Allen: 44 points, Box Score (1/23/07)
T-9) Richard Hamilton: 44 points, Box Score (11/28/03)
T-11) Ben Gordon: 43 points, Box Score (3/9/09)
T-11) Ray Allen: 43 points, Box Score (4/12/01)
T-13) Kemba Walker: 42 points, Box Score (12/27/14)
T-13) Ray Allen: 42 points, Box Score (1/22/06)
T-13) Ray Allen: 42 points, Box Score (1/5/04)
T-13) Ray Allen: 42 points, Box Score (2/26/01)
T-13) Cliff Robinson: 42 points, Box Score (2/1/01)
T-18) Rudy Gay, 41 points, Box Score (1/21/14)
T-18) Rudy Gay: 41 points, Box Score (12/13/09)
T-18) Ben Gordon: 41 points, Box Score (1/2/07)
T-18) Ray Allen: 41 points, Box Score (1/24/04)
T-18) Richard Hamilton: 41 points, Box Score (3/29/01)
T-18) Cliff Robinson: 41 points, Box Score (1/7/96)

Overall, there have been 32 games of 40+ points scored by UConn alumni. Ray leads the way with 13 such games, and the only player not listed in the top 20 who accomplished the feat was Caron, who scored 40 in 2008.

And if anyone was curious, Kevin Ollie's career high is 19. He did it in 2006 as a member of the 76ers (Box Score).

@jfuchs91 great stuff, thanks.

Edit: Sort of an an irrelevant side bar but Charlie V would have been a junior on that '06 team, no?
