Sky finalize coaching staff with assistants Kelly Faris, Jhared Simpson

Faris was an assistant last season with the Noblesville Boom, the Indiana Pacers’ G League affiliate. Simpson spent last season with the Dallas Wings as director of player development.

Kelly’s been coaching for some time, starting at lower levels. I’m glad the hard work and persistence have paid off.

Even at the pro level, if anyone on the team has seen her play, they’ll know that they need to toe the line or beware.

Not only had I not realized Faris was an assistant coach with the G League, I did not realize Noblesville Boom had two female assistant coaches (Aimee Book being the other, though she also was recently named the head video coordinator for the Phoenix Mercury).
