After all that hooplah, Karaban did not end up getting a win on Friday. That said, we had a bunch of movement on the record lists from Karaban.

Games (135, t-6th) - Karaban is now in 6th place tied with Denham Brown, Tyler Olander, and Tyler Polley. Next game, he will take sole possession of 6th, and in 3 games move to 4th with Whaley and Voskhul.

Wins (114/111, t-2nd/t-2nd) - See previous posts about wins. Karaban's next win will tie him with Samson Johnson for most wins for the teams he was part of (115) and Ricky Moore most wins participated in (112), assuming you don't count vacated wins.

Mintues (4342, 2nd) - Karaban is now in 2nd place all time in minutes, passing Boatright and Freeman yesterday. He is still on pace to become #1 this season over Shabazz (4614) in either the Big East Tournament or the Dance.

FG (599, UR) - Karaban is only 3 FG away from Adrien (602, 10th). Next game we probably see Karaban pass him.

3PFG (260, t-3rd) - The one brights spot yesterday was Karaban tying Shabazz for 3rd in 3PFG. Next game he will probably pass him for sole possession of 3rd, and potentially can reach Vital (265) for 2nd.

DWS (7.5, 9th) - No change here. He is still 0.3 away from Jerome Dyson for 8th.

WS (19.6, 4th) - Karaban is approaching Thabeet (19.9) for third place.

I love these detailed updates from you and appreciate you taking the time to do them.

I also have one note, with all due respect: I definitely DO count vacated wins and don’t abide NCAA vacancies whatsoever.

Again, thank you for doing these. I was almost surprised the announcers didn’t mention it when AK hit his third triple. I feel Fanta absolutely would’ve had that fact queued up.

Updates!

Games (136, 6th) - Karaban is now in sole possession of 6th pace after passing Denham Brown, Tyler Olander, and Tyler Polley. He is now 2 games behind Whaley and Voskuhl for 4th.

Games Started (135, t-1st) - Dunno how i missed this one. Karaban tied Jake Voskuhl for 1st all time in Games Started. Next game he will be in sole possession of 1st place.

Wins (115/112, t-1st/t-1st) - Karaban is now tied with Samson Johnson for the winningest husky by team wins at 115. If they can beat Georgetown on Saturday, he will take sole possession of 1st. He also has tied Rickey Moore for most wins played in at 112. One more win and he will take sole possession of first. If you count vacated wins, he will still be tied for 1st to Rickey Moore's 113.

FG (602, t-10th) - KARABAN IS ON THE BOARD! He tied Adrien for 10th. He should move into sole 10th place next game.

3PFG (260, t-3rd) - Still tied at 3rd. Next game he will probably pass Shabazz for sole possession of 3rd, and potentially can reach Vital (265) for 2nd.

DWS (7.5, 9th) - Hasn't moved. He is still 0.3 away from Jerome Dyson for 8th.

WS (19.6, 4th) - No movement. Behind Thabeet (19.9) for third place.

Love these updates! Rooting for a Hurley recruit largely because he was the first recruit for the 2x champ years.

.-.
AK in his last 4 games has hit 0, 3, 0, 4 treys, close to his average of 2 per game. 5 regular season games remaining plus post season.

4th best 3P% and by far the best 2P%, being the only forward on the list. Alex Legend 😎

Updates!

Games (137, 6th) - Next game Karaban will tie Whaley and Voskuhl for 4th.

Games Started (136, 1st) - KARABAN IS THE START KING! He is the all time leader in starts all time!

Wins (116/113, 1st/1st) - ANOTHER TOP OF THE CHART! KARABAN IS THE ALL TIME WIN KING! He passes Samson for team wins and Moore for Wins played. If you count vacated wins, he is tied with Moore all time. Next game he should take the all time lead by any measure.

FG (607, 10th) - Karaban now is in sole possession of 10th place, knicking off Adrien. Next up is Cliff Robinson at 624. He is on pace to pass him in 4 games vs Seton Hall.

3PFG (264, 3rd) - Karaban passed Shabazz for 3rd place. He is only 1 away from Vital (265), and should pass him for 2nd next game.

Blocks (134, UR) - There was an outside chance Karaban could catch Oriakhi (169) at mid season, but I concede the really is no way he catches him now. With 15 games possible left, Karaban would need to block 2.3 per game, which is almost 3x as much as he is doing currently.

Points (1701, UR) - Karaban is 34 points behind Vital to get on the board for points. While it is not probable, it is possible he gets it next game.

DWS (7.5, 9th) - Still hasn't moved. He is 0.3 away from Jerome Dyson for 8th.

WS (19.8, 4th) - He sits just behind Thabeet (19.9) for third place. There is a good chance he gets it next game.

Karaban only needs 281 steals to tie Scotty Burrell.

Just a reminder how good a defender Scotty was. Crazy.
Scotty was the 3rd or 4th best at steals on the Dream Team
Getting the ball into the front court wasn’t easy when they were into it.

Well that was a nightmare. Onto the next one.

Games (138, t-4th) - Next game Karaban will pass Whaley and Voskuhl for sole possession of 4th place and tie Niels Giffey (139) for 3rd.

Wins played in(113 t-1st*) - Well we should have won. Karaban with 1 more win will pass Rickey Moore (114) for most wins played in if you count Rickey Moore's vacated win.

3PFG (264, 3rd) - Karaban did fuckall, and did not pass Vital. However, despite that, again, he is only 1 away from Vital (265), and should pass him for 2nd next game.

Points (1703, UR) - Karaban is 32 points behind Vital to get on the board for points. If Karaban has an incredible game, it is possible.

WS (19.6, 4th) - Karaban had such a bad game, he moved back .2 in WS. He is now 0.3 behind Thabeet.

.-.
Games (139, t-3rd) - Karaban moved past Whaley and Voskuhl and tied Niels Giffey for 3rd at 139. Next game he will tie Freeman for 2nd at 140.

Wins played (114, 1st) - No matter how you cut it, Karaban is the winningest Husky of all time. Most wins, most wins played in, most wins played in even if you count vacated games.

3PFG (264, 3rd) - Still only 1 away from Vital (265), and should pass him for 2nd next game.

Points (1715, UR) - Karaban is 20 points behind Vital to get on the board for points. He will get there soon, hopefully.

WS (19.8, 4th) - Karaban moved back up to 19.8 and is only .1 behind Thabeet at 3r.

Games (140, t-2nd) - Karaban passed Niels Giffey for 3rd yesterday and tied Freeman for 2nd at 140. Next game he will move into sole possession of 2nd. The all time leader is Shabazz at 143.

FG (619, 10th) - Karaban is 5 FG behind Cliff for 9th. There is a chance he gets it Saturday.

DRB (480, 9th) - I totally didn't realize this, but Karaban actually recently got on the board and moved past Shabazz for 9th place all time in defensive rebounds.

3PFG (266, 2nd) - Karaban finally passed Vitale for 2nd. He is 10 behind Rashaad Anderson now for the all time UConn record.

Points (1729, UR) - Karaban is 6 points behind Vital now for 10th. He should get it on Saturday.

DWS (7.7, 9th) - Karaban is just 0.1 behind Dyson for 8th. He could get it on Saturday.

WS (20.0, 3rd) - Karaban passed Hasheem Thabeet yesterday. Shabazz Napier is next at 20.2 WS.

WS (20.0, 3rd) - Karaban passed Hasheem Thabeet yesterday. Shabazz Napier is next at 20.2 WS.
Time to update this. AK is gonna get that 3pt top spot soon after 5 today!!! Freaking silent slayer...by that I mean he doesn't showboat and act a fool.

Has Elon perfected cloning yet?

WHAT A GAME FOR THE HUSKY OF HONOR!

Games (141, 2nd) - Karaban passed Freeman for 2nd at 140. He should tie Shabazz in the first game of the BET.

FG (627, 9th) - Karaban passed Cliff Robinson for 9th. He is now 9 away from Mike McCay (636) in 8th.

3PFG (271, 2nd) - Karaban is now only 5 away from Rashaad Anderson (276) for the all time UConn record. Another great game could give it to him in the season finale!

Points (1752, 10th) - Karaban is on the board after passing Vital. He is now 31 points behind Kemba Walker (1783) for 9th and 34 behind Boatright (1786) for 8th. He probably won't get these next game, but you never know!

OWS (12.5, 2nd) - Karaban is approaching Shabazz Napier (12.8) for the all time lead.

DWS (7.7, 9th) - Karaban is still just 0.1 behind Dyson for 8th. He could possibly get it vs. Marquette.

WS (20.2, t-2nd) - Karaban is now tied with Shabazz Napier 20.2 WS. He could pass him next game.

Mike McKay. My first favorite Husky.

Well that was awful. Probably his worst game as a Husky.

Games (142, 2nd) - With the first game of the BET, Karaban will tied Shabazz for 1st all time.

FG (627, 9th) - He didn't get a single FG. He is still 9 away from Mike McCay (636) in 8th.

3PFG (271, 2nd) - Karaban is still 5 away from Rashaad Anderson (276) for the all time UConn record.

Points (1754, 10th) - He is now 29 points behind Kemba Walker (1783) for 9th and 32 behind Boatright (1786) for 8th. Hopefully he puts a little more damage in toward these records.

DWS (7.8, t-8th) - Despite the bad offensive performance, Karaban had a decent defensive game. He tied Dyson for 8th. Next up is Kevin Freeman (8.6).

WS (20.2, t-2nd) - Karaban earned 0.1 DWS, but lost 0.1 OWS. He is still tied with Shabazz Napier 20.2 WS. He could pass him next game.

.-.
The Karaboomerang returns to form.

Games (143, t-1st) - Karaban has tied Shabazz for the most games all time in a Husky Uniform. He will pass him tonight vs. Georgetown. I have hard time seeing this one get broken once Karaban gets it.

Minutes (4611, 2nd) - Karaban is just 3 minutes behind Shabazz (4614) for the minutes record as well. Another record in his sights tonight.

Points (1769, 10th) - Karaban has his eyes set on Kemba Walker (1783) who is 14 points ahead, Boatright (1786) who is 17 points ahead, and Ben Gordon (1795) who is 26 points ahead.

FG (632, 9th) - Karaban is now just 4 FG away from Mike McCay (636) for 8th place. There is a good shot he gets it tonight.

3PFG (274, 2nd) - Karaban is now just 2 away from Rashaad Anderson's (276) all time record. Another record which might get set tonight.

OWS (12.6, 2nd) - Yet another spot where Karaban is just behind Shabazz (12.8) for the all time record. It is possible for him to set this one as well with a great game.

DWS (7.8, t-8th) - Karaban had a decent defensive game is still tied with Dyson for 8th. He could get it tonight.

Was without computer for a little bit on vacation, so sorry for the slow update.

Games (146, 1st) - Karaban passed Shabazz for #1 all time during the Georgetown game in the BET.

Minutes (4720, 1st) - Karaban also passed Shabazz in minutes during the Georgetown game for the all time lead.

Points (1805, 7th) - Karaban ended up tying Kemba Walker for 9th (1783) during the BET final. His 22 points yesterday helped him pass Kemba, Boatright (1786), and Ben Gordon (1795) to move into 7th. Next on the list is Corny Thompson (1810) with Karaban 5 points away. Hopefully we will see it during the UCLA game.

FG (647, 8th) - Karaban passed Mike McCay (636) for 8th place during the BET final. He is 8 behind Jalen Adams (655) and has a chance to pass him against UCLA.

3PFG (280, 1st) - Karaban tied Rashaad Anderson's (276) all time record in the BET final, and then passed him for the all time record against Furman.

OWS (12.7, 2nd) - Karaban is still just behind Shabazz (12.8) for the all time record. Hopefully he gets it along the way to a Sweet 16 bid.

DWS (7.9, 8th) - I am not sure which game it happened during, but Karaban passed Dyson (7.8) for 8th. Next up is Kevin Freeman (8.6), which might just be out of reach, even with a strong performance on the way to a title.

3PFGA (741, 1st) - I am not really tracking attempt stats, but just as a fun note, Karaban's last attempt yesterday put him above Vital for the most 3P attempts in school history.

A masterful performance from Karaban leads to several updates!

Points (1832, 6th) - Karaban flew by Corny Thompson (1810) last night. While I am ever an optimist, this is probably where Karaban finishes his career. He would need to put up about 23 points a game and play in the championship to catch Ray Allen (1922).

FG (656, 7th) - Karaban just passed Jalen Adams (655) against UCLA with his 9 FGs. Next up is Corny Thompson (657) and Wes Białosuknia (665). Hopefully he will pass Corny vs Michigan State.

OWS (12.9, 1st) - Karaban's monster offensive game pushed him past Shabazz (12.8) and into first place all time. He theoretically could slide back into a tie for 1st or 2nd, but hopefully this is where Alex maintains his career place.

Some other stuff I didn't consider before.

Tournament Appearances (4, t-1st) - There is a metric fuckton of players that Karaban tied here at the start of this tournament.

Tournament Games (16, 1st) - Karaban's appearance in yesterday's game put him 1st all time in UConn history for Tournament Games, passing Denham Brown, Hilton Armstrong, Rashad Anderson, and Samson Johnson.

Tournament Wins (15, 1st) - Karaban started this season at 13 wins tied for first with Samson Johnson, Hassan Diarra, Shabazz Napier, Niels Giffey, and Tyler Olander. His win vs. Furman put him in 1st all time.

Tournament Points (179, t-7th) - Call this one unofficial, since this data requires me to comb through players' records manually. But Karaban tied Shabazz yesterday. Potentiall within his sights are Emeka (186), Kemba (192), and Ray (195).

R32 Appearances (4, t-1st) - Karaban yesterday tied Denham Brown, Hilton Armstrong, and Rashad Anderson as the only Huskies to make it to the 2nd round every single season of their career (Rudy Johnson also was part of 4 teams that did it, but that included a year where he played 1 game and was redshirted and a year where the appearance was vacated).

Sweet Sixteens (2, t-8th) - Karaban's next appearance against Michigan State will tie him for 1st all time with Denham Brown, Hilton Armstrong, Rashad Anderson, Taliek Brown, Shamon Tooles, Ben Gordon, Emeka Okafor (also including Ricky Moore, Rashamel Jones, Travis Knight, Rudy Johnson, Eric Hayward, Doron Sheffer, Ray Allen, and Kirk King if you ignore the Vacated 96 season).

Elite Eights (2, t-1st) - With a win vs Mich St., Karaban will take the lone all time lead for Elite 8s. He is tied with a ton of players.

Final Fours (2, t-1st) - With a win vs Mich St and then Duke/St.John's, Karaban would take the all time lead for Final Fours. He is currently tied with Tristen Newton, Hassan Diarra, Andrew Hurley, Samson Johnson, Donovan Clingan, Apostolos Roumoglou, Andre Johnson, Shabazz Napier, Niels Giffey, Tyler Olander, Chuck Okwandu, and Donnell Beverly. A Final Four for Karaban would also put him I believe in t-7th place for all of College Basketball, as only 6 Duke players have 4 .

Championship Appearances (2, t-1st) - If we make it to the Final, then Karaban would obviously take the lead for Championship Appearances. He is currently tied with Tristen Newton, Hassan Diarra, Andrew Hurley, Samson Johnson, Donovan Clingan, Apostolos Roumoglou, Andre Johnson, Shabazz Napier, Niels Giffey, and Tyler Olander. A Final appearance would also tie him for the most appearances ever in college basketball.

Championships (2, t-1st). If Karaban can win his 3rd championship, he would break his tie with Tristen Newton, Hassan Diarra, Andrew Hurley, Samson Johnson, Donovan Clingan, Apostolos Roumoglou, Andre Johnson, Shabazz Napier, Niels Giffey, and Tyler Olander. A championship would tie him for the most in college basketball history, and he would be the only player to do it since the Tournament expanded (and the only non UCLA player to do it).
