KLS and Kia in double figures at the half with 19 and 11 respectively. Crystal Dangerfield leads rebounds at 4 with Pheese and Kia behind her at 3 a piece. Nice spread of assists from everyone as well!

A guard is the leading rebounder? I forsee Geno ripping into the forwards during the intermission.

A few bad defensive possessions for the Team. Especially KLS leaving K State's best player wide open for a 3. Don't understand ball is pass into the corner, KLS guarding player and she decides to leave her player and I guess to go guard another player. Player makes KLS making a WIDE OPEN 3 point shot. K State out scores UConn 23-20 in 2nd quarter. Geno will have a lot to say in the locker room.

Wesemann had started to cut baseline, and KLS went to follow. When Wesemann cut right back to the perimeter, KLS's head was turned toward the ball. Great movement without the ball by K State. Learning experience for KLS.

This team is mentally incapable of playing 1 solid half, they blow one quarter every game going 5 or 7 minuted like they have no idea what's going on. They just get lazy for stretches of every game. They should have put this game away, up by 25+, but they thought it was over and stopped playing for 7 minutes.

She didn't and what makes it worse there was no impact on the play. K State makes the basket, IMHO not touched why call the foul. Is it because the players are close to each other. Natalie was standing still, hands straight up and K State player makes a nice basket. There was no Foul.

What was the foul? I didn't think Butler even touched her

UConn should win, but definitely don't like the last 4 or 5 minutes. Gave K State life. Gabby will start 2nd half and Needs to stay out of foul trouble. Need to get this lead out to 20+ points.

People are forgetting the preseason expectations, that this young team, with players in unfamiliar roles against a brutal schedule, would struggle. The games may be uneven at times with dopey turnovers and fouls and other assorted mistakes but these are sophomores, freshmen, and former role players depended on to fill Breanna & Co's shoes. Geez.

True..after a couple of big wins how quickly we forget how young this group is. Maybe we should ease up on those expectations of 40 minutes of perfection.

That is because they are over-playing the trap down on Lewis to help Butler. This over-play has completely opened up KSU from the perimeter

??? Last time I looked there was another undefeated team on the court and that team was trying to win as well. No one's lazy. Maybe a bit exhausted from travel and the ND game. But definitely not lazy. It's competition; the other side is trying just as hard and sometimes they actually do play better.

i know you're tongue-in-cheek Zorro, but let's all take a huge breath and remember where we were a month ago: appreciating a team that's not blessed with the depth and even some of the talent of previous years.
